I really wish some Japanese game company would come out with a PC/Console only Isekai MMO that resembles something like Grimgar. One where your not there to save the world, more like your trying to figure why your there. Also one that doesn't throw all the skills at you and says level them up, but one that starts you with nothing and it's a slow challenging progression.

if it's getting censored then imma drop this as well. i will still try playing the jp version but i don't have high hopes on that being a success. something that annoys me is that amazon, by censoring it to the west's political liking, ignores that they are releasing it globally, and not just in the US. talk about representation.

For bp i am ok with anything as long as the core gameplay is fun and has new challenging content. I am ok with most cosmetics being paid including cool mounts. I do want to see atleast one special skin for each class/weapon that can be acquired from a extreme hard solo dungeon, kinda like a flex skin to prove u are skilled player. I am also looking forward to mechanics that benefit frm high risk high reward. I would love if in future we could specialise into a particular stat like exchange def for atk, etc.
@@nightguardianx-chris Yeah in game premium currency but honestly I'm not against rmt, if i can farm items and sell them for real money its not really harming anyone. Wht i do hate is bots spamming it and scams. If there was an official site to trade ur game goods for cash it would be more effective as noone would trust scammy sites anymore. But even if its not technically like a crime it does make game less fun if u acquire by means of RMT
A minor correction. Blue Protocol actually does seem to have the Holy Trinity. Pay-to-win, Gacha mechanics, and censorship. Although Unholy Trinity might be more apt.
Crafting "success" rates is what irks me. Gathering materials just for a percent chance to screw me over is terrible, even more so when there is a cash item to improve chances or outright guarantee. Here's hoping this is one of the things localization fixes.
Great video Stix, very informative. I however, I am in the camp that is very skeptical of a 2023 release for global. Japan, 2023 definitely. We will probably get the global beta test in 2023, but I'm afraid the global release looks iffy right now. If the Japanese beta test doesn't happen until May which is what I am expecting, its almost a certainty the global release will be in 2024.

So given the fact that their biggest target audience are children, like with most game developers, we have to miss out on original content that was meant to be in the game as the developers had originally intended, that is messed up. I might have to get the japanese version of blue protocol.
censorship shouldnt exist in games, it should be up 2 the players to accually look into stuff and if they get offended, well 2 dam bad, go play sometghing that wont hurt your feeling, in this day and age it doesnt matter what u do, someones gonna get offended, so i wish game studio's would just stop caring about wht people think and make what they want to make
funny you should say that considering GW2 essentially added in the trinity late game. no dedicated healer tank will always be a recipe for disaster and I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt add classes that can fulfill those roles at a later date, or if there is a specialization system, adding in trees or skills to turn you into a tank or healer.
What exactly are global PSO2/ NGS players missing out on? The outfits we have are revealing. Unless of course your speaking on the outfits that basically have you walking around butt naked on the Japanese version of the game.

200 players cap, pay to save time, no loot drops and gearing through crafting. I'm not really happy about these. There is just a certain Dopamine rush when you see a town hall of thousands of people logged on. But I'm not gonna be riding that copium locomotive along with hopeless fanatics that think it will only get better after that post-launch clarity. Knowing Amazon, if it's bad during the first month of launch, I will just move on. It is what it is. Fundamentally, this is not an MMO.

short answer BLUE PROTOCAL it more than likely is going to be what most people call pay to win. it sounds like if you don't have VIP membership you get 40% less crafting materials. when they add more to that it could mean going 50% slower than everyone else at end game meaning forever noob. the way I see this working is patch comes out but if your free to play you will not have the gear score to do the new content some thing other games do witch is neither good nor bad. but it does mean pvp is done before it begins. the fact is if they set it up this way it will 100% get in your way if you are a free to player and your hoping to do endgame content. but by then you mite as well pick up the vip anyway because you have gotten a lot of fun out of it for free. to get to the endgame. if the story is good. if the combat is good. if you could get to the max level without worrying about gear that much but if its a grind to get to max level and you out level your gear you may have to spend time in low level zones to grind the mats for your gear up grade meaning leveling could take way longer if its set up wrong. if your friend gets vip and you don't have it your friend could out level you and be able to do the zone content way before you making it more or less impossible for you to game together and have fun unless you have the vip to. I'm leaning hard on pay to win with it being called pay for convenience. eso is pay for convenience you don't need the vip is helpful but it does not make or brake the game this does. if they where going to go this way I would rather they do a buy to play model like eso that way you get what you pay for vs getting robbed on the game play side. this is going to be one of those type of games where you wait for a cash shop whale who have spent as much time as you come and do 2x the damage you do with lots more survivability at endgame. I'm seeing tower of fantasy all over again.
No holy trinity system? I was excited for this and now it'll show up, stay for a month or so before people realize there is no real strategy to content with defined positions so everybody just zergs everything and they stop playing.
Honestly "free to play" is such a huge red flag whenever I hear it. I want to just pay for a complete game experience up front, not a game where daily content is limited and there's a bottomless pit of microtransactions if you want more than an hour of content per day.
The gear farming is just like monster hunter and I don’t mind it since I like constantly fighting l. They can pay if they want but I mean it’s just 3 player raids or 4 doesn’t matter to me xd if they get more then they could help out other players afterwards ez

Hey Stix, any word on the trading system and auction house? Since we have a limited number of dungeon runs, it would be really helpful to have a trade system to get the missing materials.
To anyone more knowledgeable than me, Styx mentioned that this game will be IP blocked in most SEA countries, I live in the Philippines and I can see the and have wishlisted the game on Steam, does this mean it'll be available here? I'm asking because i don't think I ever saw Lost Ark's Steam page because it's not available here but New World is available here so I'm a bit confused. 😅
I don't think it'll be available, just like lost ark. New world is available because it's an in-house studio game (AGS) that amazon made themselves, but still sucks because there is no dedicated SEA server, and the ping is horrendous. While lost ark and blue protocol are developed by other developers, while amazon is just the publisher for certain regions.
Materials over full item drops is VASTLY superior. Compare atiesh to sulfuras in wow and you know what i mean. Materials is a great system generally. If done well.

Trinity system so often found in mmos ? It is actually much more common that mmorpgs lack the trinity system than that they have it. I can not think of any active mmorpgs right now except World Of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 14, Star Wars old republic and maybe Elder Scrolls online that have the Trinity system, which more am I missing ? I do not call that often used even If I maybe missed a few. Interesting fact, the 3 mmorpgs considered best right now (and for many years back) by many people that are being played by most active players all have the trinity system, maybe that is something for game developers to take a note on ? Make of it what you will.

its not releasing to Asia, after checking out which region will get the servers, Asia not getting any servers for. Especially Amazon is behind the global release, duh. it will be the same case like New World ) will be last till 3-5month for highest peak players, 5-10month become a dead game, which there's no Asia servers near by (mostly players from asia must connect to Oceania servers-Australia/NZ which makes the ping become ridiculous HIGH!!!)
