We had an exciting encounter with a blue shark on one of our groundfish survey trips this week. Spotted while hauling up a longline at one of the survey sites, crew members noticed something else was intrigued with the fish hooked on the line. The blue shark made a few passes near the boat and even bit a couple of dogfish in half that were hooked on the line.
