The peanuts movie is just a good comfort movie. Also, I have an idea you might like. Dress up in sandman's outfit from Spiderman 3 and call yourself Sander, then never acknowledge why you're dressed like Sandman from Spiderman 3
Hey it’s me again here to give my thoughts on the Blue Sky films Ice age: My family had a car with a little tv that we could play movies on and this was in my group of 4 or 5 dvds. I love this movie. I think all 3 leads had great chemistry, it managed to be really funny, Diego’s arc was really well done, Manny’s backstory is still the most emotional scene in the whole franchise, Scrat was funny, and this movie gets points for subverting the liar revealed trope. Robots: Really fun movie. My friends make jokes about it sometimes. It is just a sweet and funny movie with a really immersive world and fun characters. Ice Age the Meltdown: I skipped over this one quite a bit to where I thought Dawn of the Dinosaurs was the actual sequel. This one is good just not as good as 1 or 3 to me. The animation looks great for 2006 like wow they really improved it. It has some funny moments and a solid climax, but I’m more likely to revisit the first of third movies. Horton Hears a Who: this one is ok. I think I watched it a few times as a kid, but forgot about it over time. It just exists. Although my dad does have an obsession with Vlad the vulture because of Will Arnett and I can’t blame him. He was fun when on screen. Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs: My favorite of the Ice Age sequels. Buck is obviously the highlight here. I quote his lines and memes of him fairly often. The rest of the movie is also pretty good. It has some funny jokes, the dinosaur world, Sid arguing with the Mother Dino about the kids was funny and kinda sweet at times, the climaxes are fun, and Everybody walk the dinosaur gets me in a fun mood whenever I hear it. The best Blue Sky sequel. Rio: Basically everything you said. A solid fun and colorful movie with nice music and a fun villain. Ice Age Continental Drift: I have a soft spot for this one. I think Peter Dinklage did great with Captain Gutt making him my favorite Ice Age villain. His little villain song is also way catchier than it has any right to. I thought the pirate stuff was fun too with the giant ice pirate ships being really cool. I get why people don’t like this one though, but I’m in the minority and I like it. Epic: One of the most forgettable animated films ever. The cool forest creatures designs and villain can only carry this so far. I don’t hate the slug and snail, but they were not funny at all. I think what really kills this is just the bland characters. Epic was not the right title for this at all. Ok movie, but will probably get worse when I see it again. Rio 2: Don’t really remember this one so I can’t give my opinion till I watch it again. The Peanuts Movie: I also need to rewatch this one. Ice Age Collision Course: Awful movie with bad jokes, the dumbest villains ever, and characters that either do nothing or are just frustrating. The worst of the actual Ice Age movies. Ferdinand: I may be biased because my mom compares me to the character of Ferdinand all the time, but I like this. Nice that they gave us a good adaptation. It does have flaws like Lupe can be kinda annoying at points, it has some pretty dated humor like the dabbing horses, and it isn’t as good as it could’ve been. I think the final chase/ bullfight were well done, I liked the moments with Ferdinand helping all the bulls and not leaving everyone behind, it has some great animation, some funny moments, and John Cena did a pretty good job at playing Ferdinand. Spies in Disguise: This is a great movie. It has solid jokes, great chemistry between the leads, a solid heart, and great action. Nice that Blue Sky really stepped up their game with this. Nimona: I know you didn’t include this in the video, but I think it should considering Blue Sky finished 75% of the film. The absolute peak of Blue Sky. I don’t think I can say anything that hasn’t been said already. I’m so happy that this ended up being Blue Sky’s swan song after their sad shutdown. Overall Blue Sky may not have had the best reputation and it was sad they were shut down since they seemed to be improving at the end of their run. Blue Sky will always be a part of some of my childhood and at least they got to go out on a massive bang with Nimona. Blue Sky never dies.
I completely forgot about Nimona! Though I definitely consider that to me more of the company that took over for it but yeah Nimona was great! (Also Captain Gutt’s song certified slaps)
@@PoppyMorreale Oh yeah compared to the Minions people, they’re saints, and I really overplay it here but I don’t hate them, they just were never my favorite growing up
It is crazy that you mention Yorgos because I’m trying to find a way to watch Kinds of Kindness so I can do like a lookback on his movies (since I JUST got a chance to watch Poor Things because my theater hates me). Overall he’s really good, has some creative films
