My grandmother used to take the catfish eggs and dust them with seasoned flour and deep fry them. They were so so good. Weird I know, but they were great.

My granddaddy would get me to catch em, make me cut em on a large tree stump table, under a huge oaktree, pull the eggs aside and save em in a mayo jar to eat em in my eggs n grits in the morning. I was so little and a fav memory!!

Your videos bring back many childhood memories for me growing up in rural and quasi-rural upstate New York (near the Adirondack Mountains) and another stint near the Vermont line with the Berkshire Mountains. Our creek was called a crick up there. We had a part with natural falls going into a pond that also held "creek monsters." The boys put up a rope for swinging out over the water just like you have. Be thankful that Houston doesn't know the Tarzan call! My brother and I sometimes spent an entire day fishing in the pond. My mother would give us newspapers to put on the backyard picnic table as no live fish or cleaning thereof were allowed inside! She didn't mind cooking them, but we had to clean our catch. Thank you for bringing back all the memories. The Arms family rocks!

Daniel I truly enjoyed this video. When I was younger we always went up north fishing for our vacations. We would fish from sun up to sun down. When we got back in my dad would go clean the fish; he didn’t use electric knifes he scaled and fileted with just the knife and a scaler. He always would leave some bluegill with the tails on and that was the best. You definitely brought back some memories. Thank you and God bless you and your family. Have a Happy Fathers Day.

Just for a heads up my dad got really sick from eating off a wood cutting bored. I would just recommend that you get a plastic one just so you can get a better clean on it when you are done with usage

Madmanoutdoors, I'll take a wood cutting board any day over a plastic cutting board any day. Especially if the plastic board has any age to it and has that used plastic board fuzz. It traps WAY more bacteria than ANY wooden board. Plus, there are natural anti bacterial properties in wooden boards. ANY cutting board can make you sick if not properly cleaned.

Bluegill are my favorite fish to eat. Nothing better in my book. A lot of people complain about them being boney, but we just cut away the ribcage when dressing them.
