As a bruins fan, I am still not over this, and will never be over this. I can't say it cost us the Stanley cup, but it definitely cost us a very important game 5 as debrusks goal moments later would have been the game tying goal in this game. I think this is prolly the most influential missed call in sports history, and the only one I can think of that comes close is the missed pass interference in the saints game on the rams corner back in the NFC championship.

@kanyevil127
@kanyevil127 4 года назад
@M H did you forget that the Karlsson goal DIDNT MAKE THEM LOSE THE CUP! You idiot! The game was 1-0 a very close game. If the refs weren’t blind and biased they would have given the bruins a 2 min pp for that completely obvious slew foot and the no goal. Also wouldn’t you think the bruins would have more momentum coming off a no goal of the other team, having a pp, and it’s only a one goal lead. So tbh bruins probably would have won in regulation or in OT. Also why would it being called a no goal make it that jake debrusk never scored his goal? Like how can you get that conclusion. Lastly the bruins were very discouraged after that missed call knowing that the refs are blinder then a blind guy.

Bettman's cheating against Boston goes back decades. Flipped the whole series. A lot of these leagues now are looking to move money around the league for balance, to make a healthier league. This is why you see officials "groomed" to make calls not make em to influence games. Sometimes they don't matter, sometimes they do. MLB doesn't do much of this, quite frankly, because only a homeplate umpire can manipulate the game by changing the strike zone, which is just too obvious. Tim Peel caught on tape this season proves the NHL tells refs how to call games. Stunning the media let that go as if nothing happened and Peel was acting on his own accord. It explains why Peel has been such a bad ref for so long.

I’m won’t go as far to say that this cost us the cup, but definitely cost us the game. Debrusk scored a few minutes later so it would’ve been a 1-1 game. The officiating in the series has been suspect. Commentators suck, it doesn’t mater who had the puck in was a penalty and the officials couldn’t missed it. The whole series the blues have been getting away with interference and holding all over the ice. They have been out to injure opposing players and that has no business in the game. Look at how many times they’ve taken a run at Rask. Obviously trying to put him out of the game. A monr penalty on the cheap shot on Grzelcvk has ridiculous. After game one the Blues whined about being picked on on they pretty much had their way since
