This is an Easttop harmonica with Brendan Power's PowerDraw tuning. It is tuned normally all the way up to hole 6 and then you get all gets of expressive options with draw bend holes on 7, 8, 9, and 10.
You can hear me exploring the upper register a bit in this video. The bends make it sound like upper register 1st position. It's groovy!
I'm still getting used to it.
You might like this tuning if you frequently do octave tongue blocks otherwise I could see why the Wilde tuning might be nice to have hole 6 be a draw note that bends. Did I get that right?
Anyway, I have to say it is refreshing to play some blues on the diatonic and take a little break from the fussy chromatic harmonica.
Also fun to do something I don't normally do a lot which is use an amplifier to rough up the tone. Thanks to my cousin Grant Walters for the Shure green bullet mic.
