HTTPS://xforceusa.com So this exhaust is actually for the FRS so stay tuned for that video! Fits perfectly on both generations of 86. 3" valved exhaust xforceusa.com/products/es-t86...
Did you ever get an answer for this? I leave around 5am for work as well on some days and have been avoiding driving my 86 bc of how loud it currently is
It is still more free flowing than stock even with the valves closed but I can see it possibly messing with a tune under wot. I don’t see it really affecting it any more than going from a stock exhaust and not tuning it. The ecu can adjust a small amount on its own for any changes. For example, you can put around 30% ethanol in and the ecu will correct all the tables so it will still run fine. I personally don’t think this valved exhaust will cause any kind of long term negative effects but you do bring up a valid question. Someone much smarter than me may know for sure lol.
When you install a brand new exhaust there are oils that burn off and if there is fiberglass in any resonators or mufflers, you may smell that. It’ll go away after it gets hot from driving for a while.
@@FRS2K oh good to know. I don’t experience this with my previous awe touring exhaust. Do you have any clearance issue with your 3” exhaust? Im having clearance issue with my 3” flex pipe.
Yes. Pretty much any exhaust/header/overpipe/midpipe, wheels, brakes, suspension will work across all frs/brz/gt86/gr86. This exhaust is specifically for the first gen’s but so is the Tomei that I pulled off it to test this out.
Haven’t been able to test it out on the street since the car has been down but it is currently on our FRS which will be coming out of storage soon so we can do more sound clips and see how it is to live with.
