Bluetooth Working on the Anbernic RG35XX Plus

Sorry in advance for the distracting reflection. I didn’t realize it was that bad from my angle during some of the gameplay 🧟‍♂️
In this video, I share a look at the RG35XX Plus and test the Bluetooth functionality. Being that it’s a single shot video, I skipped some steps in the RetroArch menu that would improve the experience, but I didn’t want you to have to wait while I troubleshoot. I’ll set the rest up on the back end and make an updated video in the future. I’m really hoping we get some good custom firmware for this device.

(Yep, I mixed up my left and right when I was talking about player 2 on Street Fighter 2)

Thanks for the video! So, would you say this is an actual alternative to the miyoo mini plus? Some people say that mini+ is still a better deal but I'm not sure why...

@sonomute You’re welcome. Thanks for watching. It depends. The Miyoo Mini Plus doesn’t have HDMI out and is slightly less powerful, but to be honest I think I like it better and a dedicated handheld.

Idk why mine doesn’t connect. It can search for it but when i start pressing it. It acts like im pressing the back button

Dude I swear I had that same issue like 2-3 times. Really confusing. Like it has a mind of its own. First A was acting as B and then it went to B acting as A but I didn’t make any changes. Once mapping, I think it’s okay but it’s a little counterintuitive. Let me know if you get it. If I figure it out I’ll try to remember to come back to this comment.

Does bt controller works on PSP, ds, gba and N64? Without remapping?

I haven’t tested every system with a Bluetooth controller but I think they will require mapping. I’ve been juggling multiple devices currently but I need to pick my 35xx plus and do some more testing. I do my best to get back to you on this soon.

These Linux systems don’t have a Bluetooth headset profile. It’s very rare to find any Linux system with headphone support due to this

So you dont need a usb dongle?

Nope. It's a little slow to connect/disconnect to Bluetooth, but it definitely works, and when it's connected, it seems to work well. X-input but I saw a photo of somebody using a Switch Pro Controller too.

@akadwriter I think most Xbox controllers will work. Definitely Xbox 360 wireless. That’s basically what every x-input controller as recognized as. I’m not sure about PlayStation. It’s rare to see these handhelds or even telescopic gamepads have PS4/PS5 support but they’re coming out more and more often.
