It's outdoors, greenhouse, and clickies are to live for. The Arena is amazing! I love the location off the beaten path. It's odd, though, it doesn't feel livable. Too large--all the "good stuff" is in the basement. It's like a really, really good first draft. I wish it had the elegance of a home or palace. Is that too hard? Probably.
The Arena section reminds me of a player home in Craglorn in ESO. Great review, as always Feb! The house is far too big for my personal taste (as I love super teeny homes) but I appreciate all the features and open windows, flowers etc the mod author has included 😊
Residents of that home have the perfect venue for when those flash mob Riverdancing attacks break out. Nearly every room has space to allow unfettered creative dance moves without endangering life, limb, dignity or easily broken crockery. I will probably spend a lot of quality time in the arena pushing buttons like some crazed teen at a 1980's video game arcade. That greenhouse will get some attention as well. I also really appreciate the wall of customization -very handy - plus.... there's buttons. clicketyclickclick
I really like the paintings. I also love plants(as you know) so that is a plus. I feel almost like some of the rooms were designed by modder M7 who has great ideas but every room is large enough to play football in ( British or American)haha. Like you I feel like you should be able to not strip, I mean they have buttons galore so why not that. You could get rich very quickly by planting that greenhouse up although I prefer pretty plants. Still a really great home. Thanks for the tour.
At first glance at the exterior I was almost immediately put off for practical reasons --- you don't have flat-roofed structures in snowy mountain regions. Then I saw the button with the no-roof-on-the-greenhouse toggle, and I was fine from then on. From the gates: isn't it weird that my first thought was "Loads of planters. Yup, she'll find a reason to live here." Then I saw an operable windmill, and I was cool with that --- they rebuke dragon landings. Also, I'm hoping the millstone itself generates alternatives to flour-to-wheat options. Does it? The basement alone would make a nice single-story palatial dwelling, even at full 15k purchase price. I imagine the small upstairs dining room is so small is because meal time is the short period each day where everyone might actually be within shouting distance of each other. The trash barrels terrify me, apart from their criminal color. I played often without caffeine, equally often with THC. If it doesn't come with some sort of recognition of critical item rejection, I would only dub it Barrel of Eternal Regrets. Ergh. I'm not a great fan of pre-ordained artifact storage. Too cookie-cutter. I'd actually wear Water Walking in the basement, just to save steps/swimming to cross the plus-sized Olympic steambath. Oh heck yes. I love the false cabinet passage to Swindlers Den. Sold. Shut up and take my bottle caps/gold. Any build which ties into an existing dungeon gets a few free passes from me (so I'll ignore that the place is so big it has signage --- like every house, right?). The bear traps at each entrance would only hobble housemates and me. But one of those passes gets immediately used up by the push-button Arena. What the....? Not my cuppa. Smacks a bit of being a slave-owner --- I really have to be in a mood to play like that. That said, depending on how it actually works, it might offer insights, or alleviate boredom. I *love* that the master bedroom is exterior, elevated, has a larger fireplace than the dining room *because it's exterior*, and that means windows you can seeeee throughhh. Love that. They're a bit milky, but --- crafty solution to one thing that's always bugged me. The wrap-around deck is also shut-up-I-pay-you material for a sniper-archer. Breakfast FROM bed... Rooftop access, awesome, with cover, awesome, and vantage-points over the estate you don't have from the deck, awesome. No sun-bathing, she whinged. Woman, I declare the rook peaks off-limits to flat-roofers. Buncha damn avalanche magnets... go soak in the hot tub. You'll need rest after not jumping on all the rocks and not vaulting around this playground with reckless abandon. The greenhouse staircase gradually getting narrower and cruder looks unfinished, and I'd hope it mods into something that looks less like a field sobriety obstacle course. See above impairment disclaimer. Greenhouse. Sold. I don't recall seeing that many soils so densely packed -- like, ever. It would take some resource-grinding just to get it functioning practically and prettily. By not planting certain ones, you could make your own layout, perhaps even a maze. I love that the Watch Tower would be a landmark you could see through tall plants, so you don't get turned around. Everywhere, awesome spectacular views, which also means a broad clear kill zone when the seasons change to something dark. Loved this one. Truly. Almost want to play again.
I like your videos so what I'm going to say is no insult. I don't know why when I see your videos come up on my screen, I think your name is febreeze like the laundry spray! LOL
Very well done, a lot of work put into it. Just a little too bare for me. The outside is so pretty, I think I was just expecting a bit more inside. It just feels too utilitarian, bare. Just my opinion, but well done though, I certainly coundn't mod to save my life 😀
Nice that the author didn't clutter the spaces for you, with the carpenters workbench you get to make the furniture and add-ons you want for each room.
Nice job on the mod. Personally didn't like it for so many reasons. Biggest question though is how can you disable Swindler's Den when it's a quest location? That part confuses me. Thanks for the video Febrith.
I think i like the arena most. One of the first things i do after leaving Helgen when I have to test a mod is go to Levelers Tower's arena and sell all of the stuff you get from the contestants then level up my crafting attributes. I know I can console coin and attributes/levels but it seems less cheaty. lol
Since its like open world , with no load screen to go in does it rain thru the roof ? the rooms in the base are a little big love the cool extra way into swindlers, as another way to do that quest for that redguard woman =D, wonder if the kids room can be turned off ? going to check it out anyway ..great video as always
Wow! What an impressive home with unique features! It’s got a neat location since it’s one where there aren’t typically player homes. I like all the activators and the customization options. I love the greenhouse. I’m sure it’s gorgeous once it’s fully planted. Thank you for showing us this awesome player home.
Hi Feb.! Another lovely video. I just wanted to ask if you are planning to review The House of Troubles Inn? I know it isn't strictly a player home mod, but it does look ever so interesting. Kind-of a nod to old school RPG's, in a way. At least, that was the idea I got whilst reading about it. Please keep up the good work! 😊
Its a lovely building design but the lack of furniture or decoration makes it feel unfinished. Persnally my favourite style is beautifully overstuffed, cluttered. Books piled up etc. All the stuff that makes it feel like a lived in home.
I do like how big and spacious those rooms are. I might actually have to give this one a try. Oh no, I just read on the mod page not to use it with dyndolod. :(
I had a feeling you would like this one. It just needs some furniture here and there maybe some rugs and a splash of ivy. Could use some weapon plaques as well. But the greenhouse is second to none for the amount of soils. 😊
