I think a very underrated tip is using g+g to make rounded edges on blocky shapes. I struggled for a long time with that, always trying to move the vertices by hand for a curve but that method is much simpler and easier for a great result.
Hello Grant, I'm not usually leaving comments, but this time I feel like it's worth it. I bought 2 of your courses on Udemy - they are exceptionally usefull, I'm recommending to everyone who wants to learn stuff. More than 20 hours of high quality contenty for like 25 euro. Thank you very much for your hard work!
Great work Mister Abbitt like always. Is there also a tutorial out there for "presentation"? Like 0:00 - 0:06 (Background, finetuneing rendered and so on?) Greets
Don't mean to be critical Grant - I'm such a huge fan and you have been the most influential teacher of Blender to me over the last year... but as primarily a Hand Painted tutorial, stretching out the modelling section into now 3 parts seems excessive on such a very simple asset - even for complete beginners. Of course you are your own boss and you don't have to answer to me or anyone ever. I fully respect that. IDK, maybe this feedback is unwanted, maybe it is helpful. Btw, I didn't give you that 1 dislike.
@@grabbitt I can understand that and I imagine a lot of new people refuse to go back through your sightly older content, as though it's less relevant - it's not! I guess it's about striking the balance of catering to the endless new followers (pace wise) vs being aware of the long time viewers already having clearly gotten the basics down and thus this pacing being a little frustrating.
@@Josabooba You can never get better, if you keep going at a snail's pace. I think Grant is very comprehensive in this tutorials. In the world of 3D modeling, one has to be on their toes, in order to stay fresh in their skills.
@@grabbitt not gonna lie i've been watching your stuff for the best part of a year now and I still don't get bored when you go over stuff you've already covered. just gives me time to zone out a bit and fine tune the model how I like it without having to pause!
