Today’s video is a makeup declutter for 2020! I am decluttering my blush! If you are new to my channel, I have changed my purchasing habits in the past year. I no longer buy unnecessarily large amounts of makeup and I have cut back on the PR I receive from companies. However, I do still have quite a few products that I’ve accumulated over the years, so I do like to do a declutter at the beginning of every year so I can continue to keep my collection in check! Hey everyone! I’ve gotten some comments on the Physicians Formula situation in previous videos so I want to clarify my position. After hearing many trusted resources mention that Physicians Formula is no longer cruelty-free, I reached out to the brand for clarification. They are currently selling in a country where animal testing is required by law. They have been able to avoid pre-market testing because their products are produced domestically. However, their products can still be pulled from shelves and tested on animals at any time due to post-market testing regulations. While this is unlikely, the possibility remains and Physicians Formula understands and accepts that fact. Therefore, I have made the personal decision to no longer purchase from the brand. “Cruelty-free” is not a regulated term, so there is not always a hard line for what can and cannot be considered cruelty-free. Therefore, it is up to each individual consumer to decide for themselves. I always encourage all of you to do your own research and decide for yourself which products you want to buy and which brands you want to support. Going cruelty-free has never been something that I’ve pushed on any of you because I believe everyone should be able to decide for themselves which brands they want to support. I’m just here to film videos about my personal collection but I will never tell you what you need to do with your collection. Everyone has different values, beliefs, and priorities and that is completely understandable. I was so unhappy to hear that PF discontinued their Healthy foundation only months after they expanded the shade range and I finally had a match for my very fair skin. They also didn't sell any of the new shades in store so I had to order from their site, which was a horrible experience. It took over a week to get a shipping notification and then a week later, FedEx said they still hadn't received the package from PF. When I called to ask abt it, PF told me it can take up to 7 business days for it to show up in the FedEx system which is untrue. The very next day, FedEx received it which showed that PF never gave it to them in the first place and scrambled after I called and then it took another 10 days to get the order. I even had to pay for shipping and it took 10 days for it to go from CA to NYC. Customer service is terrible and it should never take 1 month to get a package from a brand that size. Orders from Indie brands arrive sooner! There are many online reviews, most on the BBB site, that said the very same thing and if I had checked beforehand, I would never have ordered from their site. I'm getting down off my soapbox. Sorry for the long rant lol!

Quarantine game! Take a shot every time you hear “luminous” 😂. This was a great declutter, and I’m really disappointed that Physicians formula is no longer cruelty free. They made my favorite liquid eyeliner that I’ve been using for 8+ years 🙃.

@@hipposdontgohungry Yes! I love the Urban Decay Perversion liquid liner! It's really dark and dramatic and it stays in place all day long. It's a little more intense than the PF liner, but I do love it. I also like the NYX Epic Ink liner too! My only issue with that one is that it starts to leak on me a little bit sooner than other pen liners. It could be because I store mine upside down and I've heard that it's better to store them laying down!

An extremely underrated blush brand is Colormates, it's only $1 for a big pan, cruelty free as far as I know, nicely pigmented and sold at Dollar Tree and Big Lot's. My favorite shades are Sunkissed Tan and Tawny Peach. They also have a gorgeous pale lavender pink called Sparking Pink that is very unique and would look amazing on fair skin tones. Mauve-lous is also very pretty.

I bought that Tarte holiday pack of face trios. As one of the criminally pale, I appreciate that they aren’t super pigmented allowing me to build an appropriate amount of flush on my cheeks! 💕💕

I wouldn't worry about the texture in the Buxom blush, I find that tends to happen in harder pressed powders. Great declutter, you really downsized!

It looks like your Ciate blush is just starting to get specks or hard pan. I’ve had blushes for that to me too. I find it gets like that when I’ve used a very moisturizing or dewy foundation it makes the brush bristles damp and then it touches the powder and it when it mixes it can get cakey in the pan. Take a piece or scotch tape over the surface. Use as many strips as it takes to get that top layer of crusty powder off. Also I think the shimmer in Seychelles is chunking up or something. Hope this helped.

My Seychelles Buxom blush looks the same! I was wondering if it was expired but I bought it less than a year ago and it still works fine. I’m happy to see that mine isn’t the only one that looks like that!!

The Physicians Formula blushes gave me tons of milia. My daughters started using them and they also got milia. Now I look for talc-free products!

I say that all the time, the Hourglass blushes don't swatch well at all, but on the cheeks, they are perfection! I passed on them for so long because they all swatched really light. But they're not, I can get away with some of the lighter shades, and they show up! I love them too!
