Great reaction. Oli Sykes is the lead singer with Bring Me The Horizon. BMTH and BABYMETAL first met in the UK in 2015 and they have been good friends ever since - they often spoke of wanting to collaborate. In 2019 BABYMETAL invited BMTH to tour with them in Japan and they opened at 4 of their big arena concerts, it was after those shows that BMTH seemed to take off in Japan. This song was recorded in 2020. Originally BABYMETAL sent their contribution entirely in English. Oli Sykes from BMTH asked them to include some Japanese. It took 3 years before they could get together to perform the song live - this happened around the start of November 2023 at the NEX_FEST events that BMTH had arranged in Japan where this video was filmed. BABYMETAL had already played their own set and they came back out at all 4 events to join BMTH on stage for this song ... and I'm sure you could see how much fun they were having together.🤘
Hell yeah dude! BMTH is great, them boys from Sheffield haha. BMTH and Babymetal has been friends for many years (~2015 I believe). Olie took the girls under his wings when they were very young as they were new to the adult male dominated metal scene. Later, BMTH toured with Babymetal in Japan, so they've supported one another for quite some time. They did this collab back in 2020 during Covid, and this performance was Nov 2023 for NEX_FEST in Japan, and the first time they performed this song live together. My favorite part: The in-sync head bang from everyone at the end, just epic haha. Great reaction and Babymetal has the most insane live concerts, no auto-tune for them, they are amazingly talented musicians and they opened a floodgate of Japanese female rock/metal bands to spread out over the world. Babymetal was one of the first worldwide successes since X-Japan (all male) and Shoe-Ya (all female) in the 1980'. They put Japan back in the spotlight as producing extremely talented musicians and bands. @@Bruce_Reacts Thanks, you won't be disappointed, but they call themselves an "impossibly hard rocking band based on Japanese maid cafe image", so not technically a "metal" band but they uses all genres, including metal. If you like more harsh vocals (i.e. screaming), try Hanabie "We love Sweets" for a real tasty treat.
