Thank you! 👍 The tyres were still very legal. Unfortunately it’s normal on these to wear off the outsides bald before the tyres are anywhere near done. 1.6mm across the central 75% of the tyre is the limit.
How do you know if the bumper had been fitted back on properly? Is there any gap between the bumper and the headlight towards the inner top corner, or is the light completely sealed? Thank you!
Hi mate, I have been trying to remove my headlights from my 2012 F20 but the two headlight bolts (alignment nuts) at the bottom of the headlights seem impossible to remove as the nut keeps spinning when trying to undo the bolt since the clip over the top doesn't seem to be doing its job by holding the nut in its place. Is there a way round this do you know? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Liam, I had this with some bolts going through the chassis beam on my 335i. Is there any way to hold the other side still with pliers? I hope you get sorted 🤞
This has actually happened to me recently. You can get a 10mm open ended spanner on the bit that keeps spinning. Hopefully you got sorted 5 months ago when you posted lol.
@@IAMASPANNER funny enough im havjng a similar issue, however im looking at the front clip its not spinning, the but the screw keeps clicking, it feels like im undoing it then theres a loud click and it isnt unscrewing.
Hi you know the two bolts you are opening at 2.48 seconds the ones that connect the bumper to wing any chance of the size of length/width etc of them please im Having trouble finding the correct size for them.thks
Hi I’ve broken my head light lens on my bmw 1 series 2015 model do you know if I can change the lens or would I need to replace the whole head light also do you know if my cat comes under a f20 or f21 as I can’t see this on my logbook many thanks
F20 and F21 will both have the same headlights. I don’t think the lens would be easy to change as they’ll be bonded with heavy duty glue/sealant. F20 is 5 door and F21 is 3 door.

I really need your advice here please, how I can remove the headlight bracket ( the black panel) I can unscrew the two bolts but i can't unscrew the m5 bolt on another side as there is no bloody enough space
It’s supposed to be captive on the other side but if it seizes the square captive turns in the cage. You can get a spanner on the back if you can find room to get in.
If it's the one that holds the bottom of the headlight to the bracket ( at 5:36 in the video) then there's a little metal clip that is supposed to hold a square nut in place, which is what the bolt screws into, but what often happens is that it just turns in the clip and prevents you from being able to undo the screw. As @IAMASPANNER suggested in some other comments you can but a 10mm open ended spanner on the square nut (it's a bit fiddly) and you can then unscrew the T30. I had the same problem and this is how I did it.
Unfortunately yes they seize up and break out of the cages and the only option is to somehow stop the captive from turning. I’ve done many BMWs now, it’s very common.
@@IAMASPANNER THing is they don't care. I went to a main dealer about my head unit failure (reboot loop). They said £1,000, fitted, for a new unit. I bought a second-hand one on EBay for £53 and fitted it myself in less than 10 minutes. I told them what I thougth of them. They simply do not care.
