Outstanding videos.... I am leaping into the same project and this is very inspiring and helpful thinking through all of the steps and details ahead. Cheers. Besides wire brush, did you use any other chemicals for stripping everything back to bare steel or just mechanical tools and sand blasting? Thanks, Chad

Good job, nice videos! I’m also restoring an 02, and it’s the first time working on a car, so I’m curious to how you get in and remove rust in all the tight areas in the wheel well for instance. From the polished surface it looks like you are grinding it down to metal? Could you maybe do a walk through on how you get the whole wheel well so clean, or in the previous video the underside of the car. Which tools and techniques, because I can’t get into the corners with my grinder..

Thanks ! Well in the small corners I used Portable Air Sandblaster , and also steel brushes in various shapes, small and large, beware if you buy such a small sandblaster that your compressor is strong enough! and also put up a small nozzle for fine sand ! Good luck 👍

Lagaeze thanks for the response! Maybe sometime you could do a tools episode, or show which tools are used in the various videos. I recently tried sandblasting, and the media was everywhere afterwards! The nozzle should probably be smaller for the fine media I’m using. Do you have other tips to make less of a mess with the sandblaster? 😁

I fully understand what you mean 😄, that's why I tried to do everything with the wire brush first, and if I really couldn't handle it or it was too rusty then sandblasting, because clearing that sand out every time isn't the coolest thing, but you can't get away from it. have also been allowed to sweep countless times... only tip , set sandblaster well in not too much sand, and small nozzle 😄
