Hello guys! I know this is the kind of video you didn't expect from me. When I was building the F-14A, I realized that the necessary paint was finished and I ordered new ones. However, since it was a national holiday in my country, the paints came a little late, so there was a gap of ten days and I filled this gap with this model. I hope you like it.
The pattern is clearly based on the flag of the german state of bavaria, my home state and of course the state where BMW is located. Paint job and finish looks absolutely beautiful. That insane masking effort paid off big time.
You haven’t lived until you’ve cut a wrecked 2002 to bits with a reciprocating saw. Don’t ask how I know. Love the change of pace, and the beautiful finish.
In it's day, I owned 2 of those BMWs and rebuilt both of them to the last screw. Assembling your model hides the intricacies of 2002 design and how parts were attached to the car. Great video and outstanding model work.
Turned out awesome, I love it. I have to confess even though I grew up in US, I've always had an infatuation with Rally Cars. Especially the older model cars from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
I always wanted a BMW. I drove one once when i worked at the insurance auto auction. It had hail damage bumper to bumper and still sold for money than i had. Great video!
Had to click on this the moment I saw it. The flared wheel arches have blended in well with the overall lines of the car, and that masking job you did on the paintwork came out great! You've inspired me to try a similar thing on one of my projects that I have thought about for a while, but haven't been brave enough to do yet.
Funny how this vehicle looks better than almost anything produced today. Obviously not as safe or as efficient but it reflects to me that the soul and passion is disappearing from the modern world.
Great Video of a great car. One little mistake: I drove some of the BMW 02 in my younger years, indeed a 2002tii from 1971 was among them. The dashboard was always black, during all the years the 02 was build.
It looks as one of less complicated of Yours models, but only looks. It must be very hard to make so perfect painting. Great result, looks pretty! All the best for You! ;)
