12 lakhs for a bigger engine - okay amazing. 4 lakhs for a much superior music system, infinitely more space, a large sunroof, electrically operated boot - naah, bad idea. You auto reviewers need to get to grips with how real people who actually buy these cars buy these cars.
In 2009, when I first drove the 320d, it was 29 lakhs ex showroom and diesel was 45/l. 12 years later both have doubled in value😁 talk about rapid growth! 😉 Since I am anyway paying such an inflated price, I wouldn't mind spending the extra 12l on the M340 for maximum bang for bucks!
My dream car was 330iM sport but after m340i’s launch it has changed. Just that it is an all wheel drive and not a rear wheel, otherwise it is a 10/10.
So I really wanted to know if bmw India has an option of blacked out grill , carbon fibre front spitter , rear spoiler and rear diffuser ( m performance kit)?
While the comparison of the models chosen is good for a potential buyer, I am surprised that you have left out the 330i Sport and the 330 i M Sport. Any petrol head would be interested in them and the comparison between them. I am surprised that you have included the 320d since diesels are passé, but possibly you did that keeping the staid aspirations of certain sections of the public in mind, something I would like to think that magazines like yours could redefine!
I’d ONLY pick the LWB for the format. Petrol M sport as the variant as choice of engine and variant (also coz its the only LWB variant with paddle shifts). M340 - would not buy because of the harsher ride and predictably lower mileage. If I was jumping segment and wanted explosive performance I would pick the 530d instead.
For me the m340i was coming to be 15L more expensive than the 330 Li M sport variant, so I decided to go for the gran limo and don't regret it one bit. Best of both worlds
Quality of content in Evo india is one of the best in class segment in auto media industry. 👌👌👌 Congratulations to the whole team👏👏👏👏 I wish Evo India to grow greater heights. 😃👍👍👍
Imo i think the m340i is the m car we needed yes its low on power but it looks better and is significantly cheaper too! coz they launched the m4 at around 1.5 crores!
I’ll need a chiropractor to come with the 340i in India. I think you don’t feel the bumps so much because of the standard shoes it comes with because of Indian roads. Plus although on paper M340i takes 4.4 secs to get from 0 to 60 mph. Journos around the world have launched it between 3.7 to 4.1 secs.
I don't think the g20 suspension is softer than the f30. Every other review of the 3 series mentions that the g20 handles much better than the f30 and even the straight line stability is better in the g20. The f30 is infamous for being the worst handling 3 series ever.
While some may say that luxury car owners don’t care about fuel efficiency that also needs to be covered. Somehow you guys never cover the fuel efficiency. When you r talking of combining M sports with practicality, fuel efficiency is important. Not covered in your reviews generally atleast on all that I have seen on the BMW M340i.
The M340i's price is absolutely stunning too. The performance best in class and when you compare the price to the audi s5 it just sweetens the deal further!!! 🤪😁
In my next life my friend, in my next life....will own a BMW X5 in my next life..as i figured it out that in this lifetime, as per my growth chart and the amount of years to live left...it will be next life to own a BMW...EMIs as you said will never happen for me as i had promised my papa that i will never take EMIs to buy stuff, that was my papa's theory and yes i feel it keeps me stress free and financially safe in many ways... Happy motoring dost...aagle janam mai lenge BMW X5..by then i guess it would run on hydrogen fuel cells...
I would rather pick up 5 series instead of 340i and 5 series road presence is solid and bigger and it’s not much difference in price when compare with 340i
Was guunning for 330i msport earlier then they launched li and at 5'10, 5 days a week chauffeured guy who loves driving his cars to limits is confused how to spend his hard earned money 330i sport- cheap, lacks auto parking and connected tech 330i m sport - all good . Mostly comfortable also 330 li - just lakh more and so much amenities, but have paddles and not that good a handler. Would have bought if paddles were there 330li m sport - good . But just 2 lakh short of 530i sport 530 i sport- really good. But too costly too big. Or should i go for an octy:-( and save money :-) Confused as hell
Get the 330i M Sport! I'm 5'10 too and I find the backseat adequately spacious. If you're alone in the car with your chauffeur, just scoot the front passenger seat ahead to give you more space. And driving thrills in the 330i are 🔥🔥🔥!
