The Bezel was $30 from Costum Sounds and the round thing on the ac control is wood painted black (costum sounds also made this for $15) the buffering of the metal on the right side was done by me and my friend. we also had to cut through the inside a little to make room for the back.
All right after removing the climate controll there is this metal body that wont let you plus the the air conditionair is sphere. Cut it in a rectangular shape so you can push it toward the back to give you more space and buffer the hard metal part on the right side about 1 to 2 cm. Make sure you cut the rectangle perfect and seal it pretty good so no air can escape. The bezel i got from custom sounds for 35 dollars the surrounding thing i made myself (wood, black spray, ruler)
Name of the song Is Knocked Out by Hot Squad from St. Louis (they're still underground though) I will make a video of the double din setup soon to show it more clearly.
I have manual hvac controls so this wouldnt work for me, but I have a question that you might know the answer to: if I relocate my obc where the radio is, and remove the storage pocket, do you think I could make a double din fit in the bottom space?
nice job on the e36, i want to change my radio and connect me subs and amp in a e39 530. but got no idea were to start, also i still want to use the disc changer in the boot. and keep the steering wheel controls to. so in short i want to shange the stock unit to a aftermarket 1. but not the 1s with the screen in them, if that makes sence ??? but wat do i need after i got me head unit,i want to install the kenwood dpx 303 in a e39 530. were do i start . ???????
no there's no way it won't fit on the bottom where the empty storage is located. I haven't seen or opened one with a manual havac but they should be the same
ay dude i got a 1995 e36 m3 and ur set up looks pretty much the same as mine before you installed the Pioneer AVIC-D3 i was jus wonderin what it took to install that and where are your AC controls and stuff
