Great to see you here HR! The 4 series has had a very recent refresh or facelift, if you prefer. It can be turned into a fairly opulent techfest if you're prepared to tick all the options. The 435D, for eg, starts at £47280 but if I spec one up as if I were buying it for myself.. well that's £60105 on the road.... but that has adaptive suspension, apple car play, M sport plus package etc.

yes i am a dad but still want a nice looking smooth ride with a lot of space.. this car shines even today when the new 3 series is so much over loaded & expensive now and the new 4 series.. no way.. great timing to get a used one to enjoy the performance for cost even more!

I've experienced the collision detection in a c-class and it gives you more heart attacks than that it saves you from trouble. Countless false positives (very loud beeping) and once where the road was narrowed down by these concrete 'blocks', or flower pots, jammed on the breaks by itself. No thanks.

Really nice 😁 very quiet, very smooth & really comfortable. Drives much more like a 5 series, than a 3 series. There’s plenty of space for all passengers. I love it. Would definitely recommend.

FakeBook I’m not a fan. I prefer the newer BMW’s, the manual handbrake and the analogue dials are really off putting when you can get the A5 with a more updated cabin

Cool video, This car isnt noisy unless your driving super fast on sport because its super aggressive. I enjoy this car over an Audi even though an Audi is a smoother ride overall.

So, got mine last week and it is a joy to drive - so many options depending on what mood you are in - lazy comfort full auto mode to full on race machine red line in sport stick shift or flappy paddle modeloads of space in boot to take shit to dump - lol ha hafull on all rounder for dads or mums !

I doubt BMW has done any changes to reduce the noise, more likely this car has different tires.

They come standard with run flats as far as I can tell from the BMW website (edit. They come as standard with normal tryres with certain packages and or/wheel sizes). The 4 series has had a very recent facelift so maybe they have addressed interior noise. Much is said about the new 5 series and how quiet it is, but I drove one a few months back and it was no quieter than my E91 3 series. Both on run flats.

But the tested car is not an LCI, and the wheels are not from the factory (aftermarket 398 orbit grey). Tires seems to Michelin PSS, and those are not run flats.

@@BigUriel I was joking but maybe! And maybe 52 years ago cars also were not at the mechanic every 3 months for things that fail as in today’s BMWs Merc and Audis. A BMW 4 is good quality ok, but that is an exception. BM MB and Audi have ridiculously low quality today. Take a Maxima or a Chevy and compare. Leave out the electronic part if your argument is that I’m not comparing apples to apples. Still very low quality whichever way you look at it.

@@spruceguitar I've not seen this low quality you speak of and I've owned several BMWs. Looking to buy one of these next actually. I also have some experience with other more "general market" European and Japanese cars, as well as GM (which is what Chevy is ultimately) and the quality difference really is noticeable, but certainly not in their favor compared to a BMW or MB. I've also not been in the mechanic every 3 months, in fact the only things I've had to replace in recent memory that weren't normal maintenance parts were a leaking radiator and a wheel hub which are common wear and tear failures in all cars. I'm not sure but assuming you're American, you may or may not be aware that MBs, BMWs and Audis are extremely common on European roads, they are the default rep/exec company cars these days, the whole continent would grind to a halt if they were in the mechanic every 3 months. What I have heard is plenty of horror stories about the main dealerships for these brands in North America. Why you tolerate their incompetence and extortionate prices is what I don't understand (well maybe the incompetence is because mechanics like Kilmer are the norm there, I don't know).

Nobody argues that BMW is one of the best. Arguably by some criteria they are THE best volume premium cars. They are also very reliable. New ones don't break down if maintained properly. Old ones are bought by poor people, abused by previous owners, have mileage tempered with, not maintained properly, and still go. As for Scotty Kilmer, he's a joke channel. Guy was saying winter tires are useless in winter and other inept crap. Low quality information and biased opinion.

Bought this 3weeks ago This is not true bmw enymore .Is good on fuel but materials used are cheap, plasticy and they lost legendary solid bmw finnish. Is more like Kia with this quality. For me bmw ends on e39/e46 models. I will sell that soon and stick to older models.

Dam i miss a 3 seriers grand Turismo in the new Line up at BMW.. got a 2016 320d gt x drive, my self. It's perfect, the inner size like a 5 serie . Not a f.... SUV but just a little higher than a regular 3 seriers. Fun to drive ok the 190 horse power engine is a little to Small 4 that big car. But 0-100 km/h in 7.5 sek is ok.. all the power you nead on the highway, and really funny on the small roads ( a beamer is made for the side roads..... Yes... ) Only one Hazel, it's a bit thirsty on the diesel side. But that's all up to med man behind the wheel.. and his right Food... ;) ( Yes)... The x drive don't comes without a deal... As i say on my former update, F... Appel CarPlay... I'am a Android youser, and the free all drive App on the Google play store it's for free. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.hufman.androidautoidrive You just have to install the My BMW App and follow the instructions in the App and it gives you sportify and all other Audio apps you got on your phone, with a super easy search on i drive in your beamer. So don't give up hope you android people out there.. the all drive App, it's just as good as Android auto.. you don't need more.. than that in your car i mean do you drive ore fumbel with apps on a car.. Put on som Good music 🎶🎶🎶 out on the side Roads. Yes a little louder if you are Alone in the car.. beware of AC DC and the speed limit... It's don't Mach but i love it....
