Try using 8th gear eco or 8th manual instead of 7th in DS sport+. After 4000 rpm hp and torque are falling. By 4700 rpm you lost 40hp and 60lbs of torque. 8th gear would be 3800 rpm and full power at same 240 kph as 7th 4700 rpm. With 40 hp more... I think you gain a few kph.
I don't know if it applies to this model but the earlier touring models had an air suspension on the back. That is more expensive than regular springs. Plus the extra material to build the back side of a touring.
Well... This makes me wonder what the 100-200kmh of my Passat B8 Variant 2.0 TDI 150hp manual gearbox remapped to 200hp 450nm is. A little while ago I had a small "race" with a 525d f10 and E250 cdi. I was able to pull away from both of them. I timed a 104-206kmh (100-200 on GPS) run with my Passat. It was about 26 seconds but it was going slightly uphill and I also had some heavy equipment in the trunk. Maybe I should cross the border soon and take Dragy with me this time. 🤔
@@DC-88 Yup, correct. But its still funny to see people get astonished when they cant keep up with just a Passat, which has the looks of a 1.6 TDI 120hp. 🤣
I have a 525 touring and Im happy with it. It's a fast and reliable family car. The 520 is also great. The maintenance and taxes are also a bit cheaper (at least here in portugal)
@@LuisMouraPT Olá Luis, ainda a tens? Estou de olho em 520d's e 525d's, alguma dica? de momento ando a namorar uma 525d de 01/12, diferença de consumos para a 20d será muito notória? Manutenção? Algo a ter em especial atenção para lá da questão das correntes? (A carrinha será para o meu pai que de momento anda de E39 30D desde à uns tempos e anda maluco com o binario daquilo), algum risco de ser algum tipo de downgrade? Obrigado desde já pela atenção...
