Look at GPS speed vs indicated speed...something fishy.. for stock..100 in GPS occurs same as 100 of speedo..for remap..100 of GPS occurs later @ 110 for speedo....giving a lower remap time vs stock...same for 200..!!
I bought the xlr online and gts black and at full 7 settings for both and S+ for xlr. Honestly it doesn’t do anything for your 0-100kmh. It just jacks up throttle response. Will be returning the gts black and keep the xlr
My 2010 a5 coupe 2.0tfsi quattro stronic with k04 turbo on it i make 100-200km 13.7 seconds on pump gas..with ethanol i made 12.3 12.6 seconds..so for 2.0t engine audi is the best to for tuning..
Nice results! But: The dyno shows 30% of drive-train losses. This seems unrealistic, should be around 10%. And the speedometer of the car shows very different numbers when starting the 100-200km/h measurement.....
Drive-train loss is getting measured after every dyno-run on our MAHA MSR500 Dyno (not calculated or estimanted as on some other Dyno-Brands). As the drive-train loss is not a fixed value and actually is different for each run (parts in the drivetrain are getting hotter, oil is getting hotter -> you will get little bit more loss after several runs.) Basicly it is whp + drive-train loss = Engine HP (simplified), That is the reason we decided to go for a MAHA Dyno as the results a really accurate, even after 20 runs. Please keep in mind that this car is a AWD (xdrive) so the drive-train loss is actually bigger. We measured a 540i G30 couple of days ago (RWD), which has around 50HP drive-train loss.
I agree, for AWD the drive-train loss is more. Typically in 15% range. 30% is still very unlikely... Could it be your x-drive measurement of the drive-train loss went wrong? I would verify again if I got these numbers.
The chip is NOT admitted by any dealer of any make! Even the RaceChip is recommendation is to take the chip, out when you are getting for service to dealer car. Second is not waterproof, no dustproof! So if you wish to cancel your quarantine and blow your engine, do it with any chip but be warned, you need to have your pockets full of cash to rebuild your engine or to buy one again!
Hi guys. Good vid as always. I have a question regarding skoda octavia mk3 2.0 vRS tdi 184hp. Maybe its just me but I think the GTS black could offer a bit more performance for this car. I believe thw engine is really good and could handle more...maybe 230HP-240HP? Would you be able to recheck the car/engine and maybe finetune it a bit more? I also remember some guy on forums saying once the exact car ahowed 235HP..then after an update it dropped down to 217hp or so. Also DTUK is also claiming 235-240HP. Well the car and engine is widely used in VAGs so could you gi e it one more try for us? You are my no1 candidate for chiptuning this car now but i wish to have a bit more hp with gts black . Thanks
Hello! First of all sorry for the late reply :) For the 2.0 TDI in the Octavia RS we actually think it's pretty hard to get more than 220 HP without further hardware modifications. In our opinion, around 215 HP is a realistic average power output after tuning. It's a great engine for sure but as most of the turbo diesel engines on the market it's easier to increase torque by large numbers than it is to increase HP by a lot. That being said, if you want to get a little bit more power out of the engine of course our technical support could provide you with a custom mapping if you want. However, if you do so we advise you to carefully test each new mapping we provide you with to make sure it performs good in every driving situation. If you get your RaceChip with the app option, this adjustments can be done online without you having to send us the chip back. I hope I was able to answer your question!
@Max Manufacturer tachometers can have quite a big lag between the actual current speed and what they show on the tachometer / screen. Depending on how and when you shift down, this can also vary from run to run even though both of them started at 100 km/h and ended at 200 km/h. This is why it's crucial to use a GPS tool (like dragy in our case) if you really want to measure how fast your car actually is.
That might be the case in some foreign markets but in Germany you can choose between RWD and AWD during configuration and the one we had for development purposes was AWD.
@@RaceChipChiptuning How much faster (in your opinion) would a 530i sedan 2wd be compared to the car you tested from 100-200? M sportbremse is a nice option to have the car fitted after your remap btw:) Cheers and good work!
Hi William, we're only offering our performance boxes for turbo charged petrol and diesel cars so unfortunately we're not offering a RaceChip product for your Mustang GT.
@@SuperGALLO71 That is not the case, we are using different sensors and sensor signals to get more performance out of an engine. But non turbocharged cars are more different to tune and the extra power output is very minimal, even with ECU remapping. Thats's why we are focusing on turbo engines only.
This part of the video is produced by the Draggy App, you can't fake it! We only added the video of the speedometer to show you that it is the same car. The speedometer is not as accurate as the GPS speed that Draggy shows, but that is a common thing in every car!
