I got stuck in the middle of the diy cause nobody explained abt the little rubber o ring that comes with filter . And I finally got it wiht other videos that it’s not required for 2014 f10 versions.

@@PIP_SLUHT1900 lmao I worded that wrong. I meant it as in for the thickness of the oil. You don’t want it to be too thin in the hot temps and not too thick in cold temps
@@valentinguillaume5036 lol yea that makes more sense. I have an n52 which I run 0w40 year-round with no problems. I also have an n63tu which I'm considering running 0w40 as well.
Mike, I'm faced with BMW wanting to replace my 2014 X50i N63TU engine for smoke at idle failing CA smog reqmts. I prefer to replace the known bad valve stem seals in the car using the AGA tool kit. Whose seals should I use, BMW OE or Mahle aftermarket fluoroelastomer.
