A/C GAS: amzn.to/2SES3VP
Hose and Gauge: amzn.to/3fRrZiu
My A/C has slowly fizzled out over a year of little use so I am quite happy to use this DIY regas method. This routine can be used on any car but I am shown doing the routine on my BMW 650i - and on my Mini Cooper

Hi Timm this is Alvin your number one fan. I had the same problem last year. I fixed the problem. Cool car, cool video and cool A/C.🥶

Nicely explained:-) I work for a large retail auto/parts/bikes outlet and we do a similar service using original R134 gas as a 'top up' service asking as the gauge has a reading so its NOT empty. Keep up the great blogs √

I have still not decided if hydrocarbons are a good idea in a car AC system. However they actually work better than r134a. . You probably should add a little oil first as some leaks out with the gas.

Hi Timm .. very nice video. I like your channel. I learned alot of skills from your video.. It will be useful if you measure the vent temperature before and after the regassing process just to see the difference.

Thanks Nadir - The A/C was warm at the lowest setting - and now it's very cold, that will do for me!

Not sure about the UK, or what refrigerant you are putting in, but here in the USA, R134a (the original refrigerant used in pretty much ever car since the early 90s) is still extremely widely available. R134a is the original refrigerant on the E64 for sure.
@TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation

It's banned as a 'top-up' for the DIY market, and has been for years n the UK!

@@TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation interesting! Never would have thought that with how much it’s widely used and available in the USA. R134a is still used in computer keyboard dusters to create the “compressed air” effect.

Hi , the information provided is not correct .R134a is available in the UK, bought some on eBay the other day.

Hi Tim, off topic, I've had the SOS Malfunction error come up in my display in my E64 650i, I've lost DAB (it's greyed out) and I've lost bleeping sound for the parking sensors, although the display still works. Any advise you can give to solve this, instead of taking it to the dealer and getting ripped off. Much appreciated, thank you.

I wanting to buy a 545i e60 or 750i e66, thanks for this information from your videos im now comfortable buying these cars, if my valve stem seals go, I will be doing my own repairs and one more question...how long do stem seals last in the n62 and the pcv valves?

Mine are fine at 176,0000 miles - regular oil changes and they will be fine.

@@surajminhas711 Mine made it to 155K and I just replaced them myself in December. I'll be following Timm's advice to see if I can get more out of them this time with 6K mile oil changes. E66 7 series with 300K? Is it possible?

Thanks. I'll need to fill the e39 from empty, I wonder if that is any different.

Make sure you get the system pressure tested first, to ensure no leaks. Some garages check for free.

Not worth DIY'ing from empty, it's cheaper and more successful to use one of those automatic machines at a garage - normally $50 (£40) or so.
