Salt on the winter roads and the windscreen washers gave up - a feeble squirt, just enough to smear the salt across the windshield and then nothing. The windscreen nozzles are not like the old ones - you could poke those with a pin to get them going again - but not on these fan-types.
The pump and washer tank is hidden away in the front fender (bumper), that makes things a bit tricky, but I will show you had to get simple access without removing the front wheel.
This video goes through the complete windshield washer system from pump to washer nozzles and how to fix any part of it. This job was done on an BMW E64, but the same procedure can be used on any car of the same vintage, E61, E63 etc.
