Back in the late 1990s I rented a 728i 5 speed manual from a rental place near ramstein ab germany. It was about tenyears old and fun as heck to drive the autobahn with! Was silver with blue interior. Clean inside and out and pretty cheap to rent, in fasct i rented it twice in a year!

I presume that removing the moulding around the windshield created this buffeting noise. Driving was disgraceful and uncivilized, grow up before you kill somebody.
Everything we do is within the limits; we have never broken the rules. If there are no speed limits on German roads, then the 185 km/h we drove with the E32 is still slow compared to others. If that was too fast for you, please never drive on German autobahns because your slow driving endangers everyone.
@@Espofforiginal The speed in itself is not what I consider dangerous, it's how you relentlessly push and accelerate while the people moving to the right lane are still not done and fairly close to you. But kicking the poor M30 into the limiter like that is the bigger crime, really.
@@PrusPrusic I think he miscued a few times on the gearchange - that may have led to some drivetrain fatigue, possibly the noise. The engine will take it, all day long. Engines such as those in that BMW are often worse-off with people who never rev them - they're built to rev, so rev them. Otherwise, they choke up with carbon and never get the oil moving around enough. Then you give them a rev and they burn the carbon off, possibly doing damage. As for the lane discipline - I thought the cars in the left lane in this clip were terrible - get out of the way! Don't overtake unless you mean to get past the car in front and then leave it behind - then you move over. It's not hard. I agree with the author - don't ever drive on a fast highway.
