Thank you my friend for showing us how to remove the door panels and for showing where the motor is located. I will do this same job on my 750li 2009 BMW. God bless and peace to you.
thats so good i wish if you can clear by vido like this how can you fix the rear sun shade for windows in the same modle 740 2012 and what s the problem that made it does not work
i have the same problem with my 2016 bmw x6 in dubai and once i place the door the motor just sounds for a second but the door dosent lock and i have to bang the door like a normal car which i think damages the motor even more can you please do this on a bmw suv ?? thank you
Bro it depends how much bolts are damaged & the original factory installed bolts are kind of suspension type i.e rubber mounting fasteners. If you are doing it just replace all of them.
Hey I need help! So today I had to have my rear passenger window replaced due to a break in. My soft close doors worked up until I had the glass repair company come out to fix it. They took the panels and everything off exactly the way you did but I think they may have damaged my actuator somehow. Thing is I hear the actuator trying to close my door so I know it’s not broken. Any suggestions on what you think is going on??
There may be the reason that the pull wire routing is restricted by some other part due to not assembling parts not in exact way they were disassembled. If it keeps on doing likely this, it may damage its mounting bolts and rubber washers. Till then try to completely close doors with your own force.
Very nice video and tips. Singh Sab, I have an X6 E71 and similar problem. The door try to catch but within a second it gives up. If I try to just move the door too fast I can feel there is something shaking inside. Do you think it's the same actuator with broken bolts. This is on 3 doors so far and only one door works fine. Appreciate your reply.
Thank you for appreciation bro. As per symptoms you told the problem might be same for sure. Actually these bolts are suspension type boots having rubber body in between. So what happens is, after some time rubber stats getting cracks and breaks, which results in suspension of motor mechanism in air. I will recommend you to follow these steps and definitely you can rectify it. Thank you
can you give me some advice please? I have a similar problem with a BMW X5 E70. The difference for me is that he pulls the door for a second, then lets it go and goes into the open position . Thanks!
Hi Singh, mine just stopped working last night. Was going to buy a new motor, but came across your video... Same exact symptoms, the motor still works. But I can hear it shaking when I slam the door Can you tell me the bolt size & type, nuts and washers please? Thank you brother
Thank you brother. You just need to check the hole size of motor assembly, in my case its 10 mm. Try to use the nut with plastic washer locker so incase nut loose out, it should not fall down. Washer is 10 mm with large outer diameter.
Dude i just watched the vid again, there is no way in life that these screws are 10mm. Its 6mm or 8mm at best, judging by the size of your palm i would say its 6mm.
@@MANVIRSINGH1313 no they are not, with all due respect. These screws would have to be thicker than your fingers if they were 10mm. For me it doesnt matter, i had to replace the entire motor as it was a different problem but it would help your viewers to know that its 100% not 100mm.. just sayin.
@@lindstrem Can you share was is the size on the bolt you used? Also what size are those rubber suspension mounts? I found them on Aliexpress but not sure to order 3mm, 4mm or 5mm? I got 2 broken tab. I am yet to take out the door panel.
