@@BMWofFW I just started looking through your previous videos and I think you've got me pretty well covered. Didn't see anything on launch control though, could you do something on this? Perhaps in the G22 M440i?
Nice video - i have the parking assistance package on my 19 x3 which i really like, the lease is up in a month, just ordered a 2022 x4 (the parking assistance package does not come on the 2022 X3) is the backup assistant part of every 2022 model that has the parking assistance package? And with the pull out feature will the car adjust if there are different cars there when you come back which might have changed the distance from the original parking space?
Yes, upgraded 2022s will have this version of the parking assistant. As for pulling out, yes the car will reassess the pull out depending on where the cars in front and behind are (even if they change position).
Hello JP. Will back up assist work say if you back into a very small space such as a single stall garage. Is there a way for the car to drive forward out of a small space?
deepest apologies for the delay getting back to you. The back up assistant only works while the car is in reverse, not drive, however if you are using the auto park feature then the car will absolutely pull into the single stall IF everything is within its known parameters. where back up assistant would work best is if you pull forward into the stall in one motion but needed to pull out with better ease, then backup would be your go to. fair warning though, it will only back up the same way you came in, so if you want to turn the car the opposite way this backup assistant won't do that.
the auto park ONLY ever backs into a space, so when i was showing that it was backing in mainly because of how the system recognizes and executes auto park. As stated in my video, the same sequence for detecting and engaging the parking works for perpendicular and parallel spots. the only kind of spots it doesn't do are the angled spots since those are meant to be pulled directly into, ergo defeating the purpose of autopark.
@@BMWofFW welp...I want to die. I just exploded my passenger side rear view mirror on the side of my garage trying to use this feature. Cool 4 grand I'm told. Fml.
Legally the driver would be, even though he/she wasn’t in control of the vehicle at the time. This was litigated this way for Tesla’s Auto Summon feature as well. But that’s why there’s a backup emergency braking when PDC is activated in the settings (second from the top when in parking mode)
If you're using the backup assistant, can you get out of that mode once your car is out of your parking spot? or you have to wait till it completes 164 feet?
Tried mine tonight it was deffo 100% going to hit the car next to me. Won’t be using that feature again. Also it only locates spaces next to other cars in an almost empty parking lot.
.... if it's an almost empty parking lot why are you using it? 😂 on a serious note do you have emergency braking on rear and sides on? if not definitely turn that on in your settings option of parking assistant. other than that i will bet my yearly salary that it wasn't going to hit. when the reverse goes red that just means it's withing 2 feet.
