Bought the turner intercooler from ECS, and it was delivered last night. Contemplated the turner intake as well, but might see how you like it after a few drives. I’d get the same set up too.

you could have used some of that thick rubber stuff to line the side of box where the intake pipe goes in so that there will be no scratching of the carbon fiber as the intake moves around....

At the 5:50 mark I install the two bolts that attach the intake tube to the box. They prevent the intake pipe from rubbing by holding it in place. 😊👍

I have this system and the dumbest aspects of this install, like fitting the carbon tube into the plastic flex tube, and then getting the cone filter to stay on the carbon tube, felt near impossible. Was there a trick to this I missed or what?

Looks awesome, great video! Quick question - I've had a lot of CEL issues with my Dinan carbon fiber intake, even with my tune. Have you had a CEL with the turner one? I LOVE the carbon fiber, just don't want chronic CELs

Thanks Dan! I do have a jb4 running map 1 and was curious about codes. I went into the log and don't see any codes. I have auto code delete turned off too.

I don't think it was very dirty. It was only about 6 months old when I pulled the stock intake system out.

No, it doesn't require any tuning. Buuuuut, even a completely stock car can gain some power with a basic tune from one of several tuning options available for BMWs. 😁 Thanks for checking out my channel!

This is directly from the Turner Motorsports website: +7 WHP / +14 WTQ (peak gains) and +12 WHP / +15 WTQ (max gains) I don't really remember if it felt much different but the sounds.... Ohhhh the sweet sounds of everything turbo... such sweet, sweet music. The spooling of the turbo and coo of the bypass valve... 🥰🥰🥰 it's definitely audible to other people on the street too. Gets attention, that's for sure.

My warranty was already up when I got this intake. I don't think I've ever made it past 6 months of owning a car before I voided a factory warranty somehow! 🤣 Even on my daily driver Prius v... 🤣 Plus, absolutely I LOVE the look of the matte finish on this Turner intake. I'm not a fan of gloss carbon.

@@brandonm1292 Brandon, I do my best to get back to everyone as quickly as possible! I'm not sure when I'll get to modifying the exhaust (muffler and/or mid pipe) for this car. I'm not one for loud cars anymore, but have been thinking about something to replace the stock exhaust strictly for a weight savings. Also, because just the muffler sections are so expensive, I honestly don't know if the juice is worth the squeeze. I'd love to be able to do a before and after dyno run after swapping out the muffler. Is a more pleasant exhaust tone worth the money and is it a legitimate performance upgrade. The M235i already comes with an exhaust that's in between stock and M Performance. I guess you could say it's an M Sport exhaust.

With Mikey! Thanks for the response. Ya i have been looking at alot. I like the armytrix . They are pretty pricey so idk if that will be something i will be doing anytime soon. But i do like the TMS intake but the m235i im looking at is still certified so the Dinan might be the way to go.

@@brandonm1292 I guess it all depends on how long you have left on the warranty. I didn't expect to put as many miles on the car as I did... 🤣 Even stock, it's a blast to drive, so it's difficult to park it for very long! For me price is a big deal. I don't wanna spend money on mods that just aren't worth it. I'm trying to give everyone a decent evaluation of the mods I have to let people make informed decisions. 👍thanks for checking out my channel btw!

It's all good! The car sounds even better with the GoFastBits Diverter Valve upgrade and Pure Turbos inlet pipe! I'm litterally editing the videos for that stuff right now. Stay tuned friend!

My next purchase will be the Dinan carbon intake, but these are beautiful. However, Im not sure if the Turner ones are CARB legal as I do live in commie-fornia :(

I already have the charge pipe. Install was before I started my channel. I will do a downpipe, but not catless. I've done the catless thing before and it makes the car too loud. Probably after the intercooler.
