I have a question, so when I measured my oil, it showed that it was half way from min and max. I know that at min ypu should add 1 qt of oil. I went and added around .5 (maybe .4) qts thinking since its half way, it used .5 qts. Was it alright for me to do that or have I mistakenly overfilled? ( When I measured again it said max, but I'm sure bmws dont alert you if it's overfilled just days max)
The car actually WILL tell you if it's too high. You'll get a warning on your iDrive saying "Engine oil level too high! Take your vehicle to a service center." Or something like that.
