just wanted to say thanq. i've been working on my 03 745li and did not want to spend $1600+ on a new swaybar. I did similar to this video and have not had any leaks in the last 1k miles or so.
BMW dealerships are full on robbing fookers George, my E60 went in a couple of yrars ago for a recall on the battery lead and they done a health check on the car and qouted me £4000 to put things right..... £192 of that was to search for an oil leak lol..... you didnt need to search as it was the seal coming from the turbo that was plain obvious. This list of individual prices was scandalous, to replace a rotted front brake disc cover £230, £700 for a rear disc and pad change etc... I done their £4000 of work for around £600 👍
@@vividox4706 from my own experimce of knowing nearly every nut and bolt on my E60.i can honestly say i have never encountered a sensor on the sway bar...... i think the M5 E60 and perhaps the E61 may.have one but not the rest of the E60 range.... my suggestion would be swap the sensor out if thats what you say it is, sorry i cant offer any other advice

Tbh even after doing this the pressure increases in the bar and fluid ends up leaking in the next weakest point. I ended up buying another hydraulic fluid pipe and then creating a loop so fluid doesn't go to the bar at all. Works perfect and no errors ever appear on the dash, most likely because the pressure is still being maintained.

Thank you very much George for your quick reply. I have an F11 LCI with dynamic drive, and I just want to do some preventive maintenance on it. I wanted to ask you several questions as you have struggled with this system quite a lot 🥲 - How do you drain absolutely all the oil from the circuit? From the valve box do you think it all drains out (if it goes that far down in F11...) Is it possible to loosen the pipes at the anti-roll bars? Is it possible to break anything 🤣? - How do you bleed or refill the circuit afterwards, so that the Dynamic pumps or motors don't work without liquid, is it necessary to do some test/dance so that it makes all the movements and refills the circuit? @@GeorgeAusters

Hi George after having the dynamic drive failure come out but the scanner not telling me anyting today i think it actually pointed me somewhere, code is 6276 Predive check: VA - valve energized open, do you know what is that mean?
You could of used Zap straps, instead of the gear clamps?? Another last ditch attempt, for the seal leak, PowerSteering "seal - swell" additive ??? ( Im goinna try this myself ) Being a Motorcycle mech ,,, has worked for me on weepy fork seals,,, As long as the shafts are not gouged up ,, or scored .
George , thanks for your video, I have a 2006 750li ( USA) and the multi disc player is on the fritz. Have you seen any of the multi disc player units around any where?

@@GeorgeAusters okay thanks for the response George. Ive noticed lately my car with jerk sideways when starting. I dont recall it ever doing that and thought lt might be do to Dynamic drive. Other than that car runs great

Thanks...its easy enough to come off...not sure if its even leaking there though, the boot is loose but doesnt seem to be leaking... i just checked the rear and it looks like it leaking from that boot...and i have no idea how to get that one out 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Let us know how your patch worked...im curios about the glue, im not sure if that boot is supposed to move on the bar or not...because i saw a video of how it works and it looks like the bar twists when corering

Their is a bleeding sequence on ISTA 9/10 it fails saying time out on dynamic drive aslong as the car does the dancing business ignore the ISTA error and reset the codes
@@GeorgeAusterscan you please give me more details...I'm pretty stressed as my back stabiliser bar it's leaking badly and I don't want to change it as it's extremely expensive , and I want to know if it's possible to just replace it with a normal non dynamic bar.. will the car get a warning code? Will it drive normally ? Please let me know
@@leoking7672 yes you can, just mount a normal sway bar and code the system out like the car doesn't have the dynamic drive, you do that using ncsexpert
Nice job George. It would have been worth replacement if the car was brand new plus the dealership cannot warranty DIY style repairs so unfortunately they have to replace it.
