Very impressive I’ve got a 2008 e65 did the straight pipes and maf relocation extension cca however that throttle body mate I was holding off on not buying it but I think you just convinced me !
@@christophercolumbus8944 if your lucky ... i paid 5500 and now have almost 9000 into it with all the stuff i did.... however its super easy on fuel has good power fun to drive and very nice inside and ive put 100,000kms on it already
@@BurninGas8.1 would you buy one at a couple thousand dollars and restore ??? rusted frames? transmission leaks? drive shaft? etc etc etc? would you spend $5000 to bring it to life i guess that's the question
thats actually good numbers. these make 290 to the crank, which means when new it was like 240 wheel max and thats with 93 oct. also dyno seems to be reading about 5-10% low for the hp comparing to other cars ive seen with similar mods (unless you still have catalytic converters, and if so that means you're making great numbers on 91)
So lucky i got 540i 98 next week planning some dyno runs to ser what exacly is under the hood. But currently have dinan intake&dinan muffler and empty catts.
I honestly thought you would be pushing over 300. I’m surprised. After I finish mines I am going to try to run on a dyno to see. If I don’t get at least 330 I’ll be disappointed as well
You need headers and high flow cats as well as raising your rpm limit to 7k ,and yea the numbers he got were really disappointing and strange , by the time im done with mines i should be pushing close to or above 400 at the crank
@@BurninGas8.1 yes I thought it would be over 500 as well. Do you think you should maybe go for a tune that’s specific to your mods and not an off the shelf tune? I don’t know about the e60 m5 but look into DUDMD tuning ...you can reach out to the guy personally on Facebook. He seems to be the man when it comes to e39 540. Also that turner motor sports throttle body is just an N62 throttle body. Swap in the m62 non TU manifold as well.
Have you not changed the m62tub44 inlet manifold for an m60b40 or an m62b44? Should work well with the throttle body I’d have thought. This is my old m62b44 pre-vanos auto. I never had it on the dyno, but it went ok for an autobarge. This video has a 0-80mph sprint at the end. Mods were just a remap and a decat. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3dNLslgjT_g.html
@@BurninGas8.1 as the pre-vanos have been known to make around 300 at the crank stock, but not as good torque delivery as the vanos and aren’t as tuneable. Vanos has 4 cats and a restrictive inlet manifold where as the pre-vanos has 2 cats and a less restrictive manifold. Similar situation as the m50 manifold mod onto the m52 engine.
@@moblendz6327 well again real dyno real numbers not a mustang dyno... factory numbers are 285hp and 320 tq at crank not at wheel... car works awesome ... torque was 326 at wheels
@@BurninGas8.1 any videos on inline 6 motor up grades? I’ve memorized the ECS website. Any cam intake manifold Fly by wire throttle body upgrade knowledge? Solid no rocks in the brain stuff you would know?
@@BurninGas8.1 my e39 I did just like change , thermostat change , spark plugs , new wheels , new filters all around , resonator delete and new fuel lines pushing 283 hp
