Thank you for the info ! We just pinned your comment for other peoples to see it more quickly. I think that if you run your wire to another ground nearby, it should work aswell ! But you will need to extend the cable of course..
So unfortunately my 2000 323CI tail light cover plates this repair kit wasn’t compatible idk because the metal piece was thicker and not slim enough any advice.
Hello, I have the same tail lights as yours but my problem is that as soon as I turn on the front light using the switch, the top 2 brake lights also light up (not the third LED brake light) like the bottom 6 tail lights. When I press the brake pedal, the top 2 lights light up more brightly together with the third LED brake light. I think they should only light up when I press the brake pedal and not when I turn the lights on! During the day when I don't turn on any lights they work normally, they stay off the whole time until I press the brake pedal. Do you have any idea if this is a cable problem or a setting on the OBD? Hello AP 👋🏻 hmm yeah i think i understand what you mean it’s strange, on my cars both of the top rear brake lights only light up when i press the brake pedal, not regarding if the light switch is on or off on the dashboard. Never encountered this, but my opinion is that it could be a different coding of the LSZ module ( light module ) on your car. Problem is here since you bought the car?
Yes it will work, but check your tail light plate before buying! Someone with a early E46 vert did not have the ground relocation on his plate ( pinned comment ).
my question is this I'm putting LED lights in it and I get that little symbol on the dashboard why I don't think this video will even help by adding new connection ports that's not the issue some people say if you install a load resistor and you're good to go some people say add a little wire to the ground piece and you're good to go
@@PyreneesBMW okay thank you for your information I've placed LEDs on some of them I just didn't like the other bulbs but the brake light I had to put them in bulb but I wanted to install something called a strobe but I get that same symbol on my car they say that all I need is a load resistor and it will remove that symbol
@@isrealperez9069 yup the symbol means your car thinks your bulb is burned since the LED needs less intensity to work, that’s why you need a resistor to trick it

As far as I know, if your license plate bulbs are burned yes it will light up on the dashboard, I will try to remove mines this evening and I will let you know if it makes the 2 warning lights on! Thanks for taking the time to watch the video ✌🏻
