Sitting in the same identical model bmw with exact same issue! Trunk lid popped open overnight and rain got into trunk a few days later screen went out, same noise under hood same low battery! Update, MPM switched out radio and screen are back Thanks a bunch! The car still won't start could be starter, was hoping this was the culprit for the no start issue also for anyone trying to remove the module you grab the side where the red wires are and push module away from harness. It doesn't unplug like it looks.
@@petewilliams9493 It will come unfastened. There is another video that explained it much better than I can. Inevitably I had it towed to the dealer and 900$ later its good.
update: I changed the MPM module & my fuses are gd but my shit still didnt come back on smfh... so I guess I have 2 hit up a junk yard & get the ccc unit or icu unit to get my ride back right... thx 4 the vid bro, great report...
Thank you for your video its great. So if this module is no good would that be a reason why my screen and the ccc unit is not working. The ccc unit turns on and off but the screen doesn't. I really appreciate any advice please
Exact sane thing - I just opened up the boot and the base was sopping wet. Is it necessary to replace the loom and MDM or can I wait for it all to dry out ?
Hey thanks for the video. I am in same situation 2004 BMW 530i trunk was open water went in. MPM burnt smoke was all in the car no power drain though car started and everything works. Changed the module same number but no power to radio. Sos light on. Any help be appreciated. thanks
@@FixYOURride13 I did check like you mention 7.5 amp and fuses in the glove compartment. I spoke to someone else they think I fried the radio. MPM needs coding?
I always get a kick out of when they put electronics in a "liquid collection" area or like when Ford makes their heater cores higher than the rest of the coolant system so air can get trapped in it.
This happened to me, I bought a used MPM from a guy that was parting out his BMW and everything was working fine for a few months but now the radio seems to cut out and the screen resets. Is it possible that the wiring harness is corroded and needs to be cut? The original MPM was completely burnt and i couldn't compare the numbers. Anyone having same issue?
My e60 ccc module sometimes not working after 1 or 2 hours but im doing hard reset and he starts to work. When i start ccc module under 15 20 minutes its work. And sometimes language automaticly change to italiano. Do you help me?

Hallo from Germany i would like to make a description of what happened 2 days ago on my bmw e60 545 2004 model. We've had bad weather for three days now. it was snowing and raining. i had my car immobilized for three days. I got up today to start the car but it had probably used up the battery which is brand new.(what the hell) Before this event everything was working fine with no problems whatsoever. I wire up to power my car and then find what you describe. The screen does not work and neither does the radio. Also all the lights came on like abs, esp which before did not come on I had no such problem. do you think that's the problem? The module? I check the fuse 7,5 but is not broken its ok.....and nothing blow as you showing on your video Thanks Greetings Alex
Hey Man my friends and I changed the battery & Alternator on my car ( same year same model 04 530I ) after the battery & Alternator change my screen is like distorted but it still turns on every time. The picture scrambled and distorted, any ideas ? Please help

FixYOURride13 thanks man I remove the carpet there was a lot of water under the passenger side sunroof was leaking I’m still in the process of drying the inside I hope it will solve the problem.
4 the MPM module, that part new on Amazon is $209 smfh... I will b highly pissed if my navigation system still doesnt cut on afterwards smh... did anyone just replaced that & ur system came back on, plz do tell...
I have the same problem, but my ? is how do take apart the piece 2 check if the MPM is good or not... tried pulling it apart but did not detach... thx 4 this vid, I went & brought a loop from amazon thinking that was the problem & couldn't find where 2 connect it smh... plz help, also the rain got into my trunk as well... funny that's how this event is happening 2 everyone the same way....
@@petewilliams9493 ok... did you have a flooded MPM module? -you spilled water from him ? -the connector from the MPM module is corroded? -The Fuse was blow? -The Alternator did not charging ?
@@FixYOURride13 I checked the fuses & 2 my surprise, the whole section where the 7.5 fuse is doesn't work literally... I thought the store sold me bad fuses but when I put the fuses in other slots of the fuse box, they worked but when I put them back over to that side it didn't... so how do i fix that problem... thx 4 responding...
@@petewilliams9493 hi, you check the fuses when ignition is ON ? , you need to check the power supply your boot fuse box main fuse, or check all fuses in the car, and check the battery charging (Alternator electric system) I hope you fix soon your car , I fingers cross. Merry Christmas.:)

not the car was accidentally crashed, unfortunately I wanted it, the first time I started it, and the waves were too weak to come to your heels. the display will pop up but it will not show anything but the cd will spin the cd but will not drop anything. it does not give out just bugs for a couple of minutes until the desktop finishes and starts up. the first screen did not want to pop out either. but now it's time to come up. unfortunately does not allow code reading. but I was sick of getting a par code! but I can not find anything! e18d, unknow fault code, 930C, 930A. I think you can get into the battery. since this lamp is cast. I'm starting to replace an acumulator today. if you are tipped to know what to look for I'll help you out! :) 😄
@@horvathzoltan5940hi,the errors comes from telematics module so if all powers, battery and battery charging is ok you have to go to BMW spacialist for try reprogramming ccc system or quality diagnostics . Good luck.
2004 bmw 645ci and the screen went out. It was working for the first two weeks then went out. Logo comes on and goes black all day ? Easy fix or expensive ? Help anyone ?
@@FixYOURride13 You still criticized BMW for placing such a component in an area where water can seep in. Leaving the trunk open would flood it, but if kept close, would keep the electronics safe.
@@Bruce_T i'd say hes right, the german guy , that is really a bad place to install electronics... Landrovers have same problem with computers mounted low, try crossing Africa with that ...swoosh wet ! stuck... they could have mounted it in the same side panel..why in the boot under the spare where dust and water collects, if a sealing rubber fails ...enough said.. bad design.
So you're saying LOGICALLY it's better to place delicate electronics in THE LOWEST POSSIBLE LOCATION vs above a few inches THE LOWEST POSSIBLE LOCATION?
