hi, what's this knocking noise in the background, actually like a ticking noise in cylinder tact? I've got m57n2 and it does the same, sounds like where the injectors are, so going to connect inpa and check the injectors correction. just need to install inpa v5, as my old one does not read dde6.0. Also, I removed swirl flaps on mine, but I removed the rod for operating swirl flaps, you have left yours, any reason? Did you delete EGR on yours after? many thanks.
Koronaris same thing for me, at idle when i remove the oil cap i can hear the knock :( i dont know what can it be :) ? did U find the source of the sound ?
Yes I found, this little ticking noise I was asking about is coming from the injectors. But when you remove the oil cup it will be a different sound, you'll hear more like a knocking noise and as I understand it is normal on this engines, as far as there is no other knocking sounds coming with the oil cup on. There can be many different reasons for knocking sound e.g. valves, vacuum pump, vibration damper etc.
