This looks like exactly what I was looking for with the exception of a backup camera and satellite radio what you may have as well. I thought that I would have to replace the stock navigation screen to get this kind of functionality. Thanks for posting this.
Hi, I know it's been long since you posted this. I need your help as I have the exact spec of x3 e83 but could not play out the music from my phone after pairing the Bluetooth. Which other button can I press in the car for the phone music to be heared from my car. Thanks

I do have native bluetooth and navigation, but I use navi on the phone, its much better than native bmw navigation. Switching to AUX turns on this screen.

zumbtoma У меня Cd changer в подлокотнике а ТВ тюнер в багажнике. Кабель к малинке (Raspberry) тянуть в багажник или лучше выкинуть чейнджер и в подлокотник малинку установить а от тв тюнера кабель к подлокотнику протянуть? Bmw e83 x3
So you have NAVI + SCREEN. To add pibus and raspberry pi, you need TV module (you can get it on ebay, ex: www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E39-E46-E38-E53-videomodul-video-module-TV-tuner-UNLOCKED-analog-6906923-/182224014614?fits=Make%3ABMW&hash=item2a6d65cd16:g:~UcAAOSw6kxXIHJ7). Also you need a cable to connect TV module and NAVI. I made it myself, but it is possible to find it in eshop.
