I have fixed this problem once by replacing the passenger side footwell module.

No sir ... not progamming issue at all ... you should inspect the gear (plastic) of transfer case motor ... ie remove and inspect transfer case actuator motor ... if all ok after that ... should turn ig off then wait 10 sec then on then all be ok

hi brother i have also Proble it come failure after read 0054C6 VTG : OIL WEAR (its oil old?) and SECOND FAILURE 0054C6 VTG: calibration wrong but we demontage the servomotor from vtg and give new the plastik repair kit you know the black one and the white but i can also not calibrate the vtg or i say i change oil and want reset nothing happened also come failure - is the complette motor actuator from vtg deffect ??? thank you ! sorry for my english but i think you understand me.

Use ISTA-DIAGNOSTIC, it will give you a better guide as to what the issue is,,, most likely you will have to program with ISTA-PROGRAMMING than code it than do calibration,,, the calibration is failing because coding is not set, and coding is failing either because module is not programmed correctly to vin# or the module is the wrong part# for that vin#.... contact me if you still need help

Hey, i had no transfer symptoms or any lights. Changed the oil just for routine maintenance and decided to reset adaptation. Reset failed and the trifecta of lights showed up with code 54C4 and 5F3A. How can i calibrate it ?

Same exact thing happened to me on my '05 X5, using the Schwaben/Foxwell scan tool for BMW. Just trying to figure out how to recalibrate... I wiped out all the adaptations to zero. Only got rear wheel drive now! 🤦‍♂️
