When you said, give the subwoofers a proper workout, I let out a giggle! Lol! I could tell by your voice and your sigh that it's tremendous! It's a beautiful build! I love to amp rack. I know one thing with your vehicles and that is when you're done with them, everything is secure and acts like it was built there from the factory. We all appreciate the time and effort it takes for you to do these videos. You're not just showing off your work you're showing us how you did your work and don't stop doing it please!
nice job. I would do something different for myself but we all have different taste. you say he was on a budget but it looks like no sacrifices were made.
maxfmfdm Budget is relative, it doesn’t necessarily mean having just 1-2grand, but definitely not 10-20k. Well, sacrifice? You should check some of the other cars i’ve built, especially my own Honda! 😃😂
First thank you for your amazing work. I have a question... as you said, a big box tuned to 27ish would result in group delay. But by adjusting time arrangement with dsp, would this could this problem be solved?
Around £3.5k in equipment, £400 in materials and ~ 8days in installation time, which will cost different at different parts of the world. Where do you live?
I have an e46 coupe and I'm building a ported box for the back, when finished it should have around 2.5 cubic feet (70 litres) for my SPL Dynamics XTR300d2 12 inch sub. I'm aiming for around 30-32hz tuning.
Hi Peter. Firstly i want to say that I congratulate you with craftsmanship you put in your builds. But I have a question. There is a channel on RU-vid, which I won’t mention the name, that praises al Steg amps and speakers as there were made by god himself. Just for fun I bought some higher priced Steg amps and speakers. After testing them I didn’t really found them so special. What’s your opinion on Steg? Do you have experience with that Brand?
Umıt Bozkır sorry, i missed this comment. I used Steg amps and speakers like 10-12years ago and they were good back then, but i’ve also learnt, that speaker installation and tuning means way more, than anything!
that looks nice and very pracital how did the box sound and can you remember what rms was in each sub. what did you tune it at if you built/specd it and what did u bring the mid bass in at im building a astra and my pals scoda and for a good sound/ sq ware are you based as we are in glasgow scotland is i poss to book them in for you to do your magic when they are built.
After watching so many videos of you its clear I am going active in my next build/car, and need to cross the water... 2 questions, do you or did you measure difference between analog interconnects like the advertise with? Especially on home audio like 'clear' and 'natural'. Second, got some B&W speakers at home in stereo without a sub, got a similar setup in the car, does it really ad a lot? Or is it something you have to experience? Overall I did find it more easy to listen to music without with some home audio demo's I have hearded. Really hate boomy and loud subs. Thanks!
in terms of the ground zero subs they would be what i would classify as SPL style subs(meant for that big boom) if you want bass but not earth shaking i would suggest going with acoustic elegance infinite baffle style sub, or do really well planed out encloses for your "door speakers"
@@1wrexx Thanks for this advice! Will look into acoustic elegance. Read something about a closed sub enlcosure for this usage and heard Peter talk about it before
@@JohanH1990 np at all just didnt want you to spend money for something that is not what your looking for. the acoustic elegance still put out good bass but its more geared towards SQ than SPL.
@@1wrexx Thanks, like a minefield sometimes... SQ is the aim so you are right, loudness isn't a requires. Its for a daily and enjoying music. Dont need a boom car haha

I have a e92 4 door sedan. Wanted to do two 12 xtant x2 would this be a good set up for the type of Vehicle I'm working with. I listen to alot of rap. Jazz and r&b some times Courtney
@@TheNanich1 okay, please check description and click on the link to see the build pictures. You’ll see the 2nd battery installation there. The system and the car was running fine with the 2nd battery, but you have to keep your eyes on the voltage. If your current draw is much larger than what the alternator can charge and you don’t let the batteries charge back (or use and external charger at home for maintaining full charge few times a month), then you can easily drain the batteries and shorten their life time. If you have more than 2kW on bass, then you have to run a direct charging cable from the alternator bypassing the OEM smart charging and then you could also put in a lithium pack at the back like we did in the E92 that is also shared on the channel.
