Nice work fella! I also got caught out on length and route and ended up buying twice, 2m second time. Also, I put duct into hole and then got some heat shrink around it to hold in. Worked OK so far! Id recommend a jubilee on the back of bracket though and pinch it up tight! Mine came off, flapped about and got destroyed by the wheel.
Whilst the cooling will help a little, if you're taking it on the ring I guarantee your next mod will be brakes. They're just not up to track use and the ring is far harder on brakes than anywhere else. I've just bought all the bits to do the f80 brake swap as my standard discs are still warped from last years trip.
Yea I know she won’t be happy with the stock discs (I have already fitted uprated pads) If they do warp is will be a great excuse to finally upgrade the brakes to something more suitable 😅👍
@@stoneautomotive purchased an m4 yesterday. Watching your videos over the last year made me want an M car so badly again. I just couldn’t justify an e92 due to the age/tax/mpg/fact it had to be a daily as I do reasonable miles. I did drive a few. Brilliant cars.
@@chisharpe3304 awesome, thanks for the channel support 😎👌 it seems I’ve converted a few subscribers over to the 2 wheel stuffed, fear not the cars will be back to (just been on the bike stuff the past weeks)
The research I’ve searched would indicate that’s wrong, keeping the cooling into the rotor hat which then works through the vents provides the most even cooling. I’m not a motorsports expert but did a good chunk of reading up on it before proceeding 😅
@@stoneautomotive ah makes sense. I have the BTCC kit so wonder if that effect would be negated with the floating discs, and would still be better directed at the caliper.
