They do not use an autoclave because it's not formula one and it would not be cost-adequate. The carbon is more a design aspect, strength-wise glass-fibre would do the job as well. The heating has just the purpose to accelerate the curing.
It looks like they pre-heat the material @3:40 then @5:20 it looks like they have a heated tool that would cure the resin without the need for an autoclave.
It would ruin your shirts. I did some fabricating work when I was younger, when carbon fiber was kind of a new thing. I remember rubbing it with my finger and it leaving a black residue on them.
