I own this car 12 years later and it is one of the most glorious cars of all time. Sonorous v8, amazing handling, great steering feel, and a gorgeous exterior.
I just bought my 2013 M3 with only 4500 miles on it last week and I am in heaven....I drove a few high end cars before (including a couple Corvettes and my last car a 2009 Z4 i35 that pushed 300 HP); however, this car is in a realm of its own. Like owning your own personal roller coaster (I took that from Vehicle Virgins)! Amazing car in every sense. Really is the first car I ever drove where I could hear, see, smell, and feel the quality and craftsmanship. Like the guys from Top Gear said, if you can afford one, you should immediately stop what your doing and go buy one today.
+Mike Marley Mine's also a 2013 M3 and i am the only owner, i confirm everything you said. It's unbelievable. Only difficult thing is to find back roads where you can really drive it like it is supposed to be driven, i guess i need to head to a track.
MotoBoy you must be confusing with the f8x M4/M3 3.0 liter that plays speaker engine sound but not this. This is the 4.0 liter V8, there is nothing fake about it, all 100% pure mechanical engine sound heaven.
just bought an 428i xdrive msport coupe auto. Was really going to get the e46 m3 6MT or the e90 m3 sedan 6MT CPO. was one of the toughest decisions ever since i grew up on Manual cars for over 10yrs. but i live in a big city and can only keep 1 car right now so realistically i had to get the xdrive & auto---due to all the potholes, ,speed restrictions, snow and TRAFFIC. i thought switching from manual to auto would be the end of the world but it's really not that bad. these new steptronic bmw's shift gears so quickly it's actually fun in it's own right (but def not manual 3 pedal). when it's time to keep 2 cars, def get a RWD for non-snow weather & weekends and a AWD auto as a daily driver and milk n egg shopping n shit. when you're in this price point, the options are endless #moremoneymoreproblemslol
If you want faster cars you gotta sacrifice man. If they give the next gen M5 600hp, it's gotta be able to put down that power off the line....otherwise it'll be like a hellcat.
BMW is going down the drain for true car enthusiasts. Completely going in the wrong direction and appealing to the masses...which frankly doesn't know anything about cars
