In this video we will explain how to replace oil pan or oil pan gasket or how to remove oil pan or oil pan gasket on BMW F10 F11 5 Series. We demonstrated how to remove and replace oil pan or oil pan gasket on 2013 BMW 528i but the procedure should apply to multiple years and models since they use similar design of oil pan for multiple gasoline and diesel engines. The procedure to get to it may differ.

can you please do more of these videos for the F10 N55 motor? There's very few videos out there for things such as Timing Chain replacement, Oil Pump replacement, things like that. Your videos are great but I would love to see more for the N55 Motor. Thank you!

Brother number one, very grateful for your.Video. But making reflections on that work. I don't understand why you didn't lift the car evenly. Not sideways. Automatically the work became a little more difficult there. From a beginning. You should have put the check. In the tray. Of the transmission. And it would have saved you many of the difficulties you went through.

Great job guys. Maybe I'll let the dealer replace the gasket on the oil pan. Can you tell me how much you charge to replace the gasket? I have a feeling the dealer would want to replace the oil pan, gasket, and drain plug even if all it needed was a gasket

is this a rear wheel drive model? if so do I need to loosen the trans mounts, is there not tension on the bell houseing and drive shaft when jacking up the engine on a rear wheel drive bmw ?

No its not. The inline 6 motor is more difficult to work on since the oil pan runs over the frame member. You have to lift the motor off the mounts and drop the front subframe and suspension components. Big pain in the ass.
