Great stuff! 2 weeks ago, for a little over $20k, I bought a 2014 550i that has the M Sport and Executive packages on it. A steal since thar only has 65k miles on it! One thing I noticed was the car was missing the 2 rear mufflers but still had the mid and like 2 resonators under the front seats. I'm thinking of having catted downpipes installed because I still want to be conscious of my neighbors.
Just purchased the valtronic design universal mufflers which operates like a straight pipe when open & really quiet when closed, plus it comes with remote so I'm looking forward to the sound
You're worried about $200 tips. Just wait till you need to do some maintenance and repairs on that thing. I'm a bimmer guy too. I have 2002 e39 M5, 2009 750i (same engine as yours), 2006 330Xi, and had a 2003 4.4L X5 which I sold last year. I maintain them and all of our other vehicles in my "spare" time. Might do the JB4 on the 750i 🤘
Why did you tighten the exhaust going from 2 3/4 too 2 1/2 wouldn't you want to keep it open as much as possible let the car breath? Use the expander tool on some 2 3/4 pipe to fit that pipe on itself ? I do love the way it sounds though!!! Defiantly want to do this myself just got a 2012 550i M and am wanting all the info i can get
It depends in the year. Do your research before buying. Supposedly mine (N63 engine) is not, but I couldn't pass up the deal. I absolutely love this car!
