Great instructional video Ard, thanks for sharing. I see that you hesitate to separate the two carb bodies. It is wise to do that at this point. In my experience the T-junction seals are invariably cracked, and should be changed. Also there is a likelyhood that the brass tube for the enrichment circuit on the left carb is cracked. The crack may be miniscule and difficult to see, however if present it will make the enrichment device to not deliver enough fuel when the choke is engaged. The tube can be soldered or glued, or new ones are available from saarbike in Germany. It is easy to put the carb bodies back together with the steel brackets, and the connection between the carb slides will connect easily if you observe how it functions beforehand. It is wise to take som pics before disassembly.
@@mig1600 I changed them in this set, i recommended it to the customer as a precaution, but it was done after I shot all this footage, so i didnt film that part. Mostly depends on what the customer is willing to spend. Ive not had a cracked choke tube yet, but i have seen it on the fb groups, good tip.
Thanks for the video. Very useful and well explained! Would you recommend Dynojet stage 2 jet kit for f650 1999? (In combination w Dominator exhaust and modifying the air box). if not, what other jet & needle kits would you recommend? Thank you!
I wouldnt recommend dynojet, no. Its too lean on average and too rich in the high rpm. I can make a custom jetkit for you;62,- euro. Send me a pm in the facebook group if youre interested. Also dominator linkpipes tend to melt the airbox. You should be careful when mounting it.
