Pops and crackles doesn’t make a car sounds good…. If that’s the case I rather 2step in a rx7 or any JDM lol… V10 m5 is on another level straight up eargasm and the v10 m6
Funny how when a car sounds AMAZING and has a SOUL nobody cares about how it looks! As a petrol head its about how a car makes you FEEL!? And with all these emission regulations it kills the fun for me. Keep up the great work guys
It sounds like a refined version of the F82 S55 block. But I honestly think the best sounding engine for the M2 was the N55 tho 🥺 that thing sounded so beautiful
@@xkvv doesn’t matter what career if you’re not into it or willing to put in the hours. The obvious answers are doctor, lawyer, and software engineers.
The new G87 M2 is going to be insane. Jackie Ding is already anticipating and testing how amazing it is on the track in stock form. He did a POV track video to test the stock times. A wing and some good wheels will make the new M2 look much better. It is cheaper than the G80 M3 and G82 M4, it is lighter and built for track purposes, and it has the S58 engine. I still think the S58 is potentially the new 2JZ/3JZ. G87 M2 is already better than the A90 Supra. Watch and see. I know if I had the money, I would skip getting an M240i or Supra, and get the M2. These new videos coming out this week of people driving for the first time are very good. Jackie Ding said it is the best stock car he has ever driven. A Darwinpro F22 style or E36 M3 style spoiler wing would look amazing on this car. Add Cosmis Racing XT-005R or XT-006R wheels, or Welds Racing Ventura S104 wheels, and this car will be phenomenal. I never thought I would like this car.
Its a great engine and will be great on track for sure. However it is not that much lighter than the g80/82 if at all. Its a bit of a pig but for a full track build I want to see how much weight will be able to be removed. S58 does sound better than S55 too which is nice
That V10 is literally the reason I’m dealing with bmws bullshit today… the love I had for the brand back when those cars existed is still carrying me today even though their new direction is appalling
Sounds fantastic. It is me or does it sounds slightly better than the same set up on the G80 M3? Maybe the mic captured the sound better in this video? Which brand DPs are used here?
@@dc5_doski887 that could be it but I know people memed on the s55 in the previous gen for the sound and that was because the exhaust piping was uneven. Not sure if it was just the mid section piping or the full system. But the s58 does sound better but still has that raspy sound to it.
Is he going to say, we filmed this in Mexico? LOL Love the blue color.. I don't know why people think these cars sound good. Sounds like a mini bike. Not a car. My C7 Corvette M7 with Kooks long tube headers , catted X pipe and Billy Boat fusion axel back makes this M2 sound like a starter car. And no, it isn't faster than my Corvette. I have a little secret sauce under the hood.. :)
this one does not sound like a lawn mower F80 M3 is my dream car but I started to lean towards 340i simply because it sounds better but this M2 is making my ears all warm and fuzzy lol
Took a lot of man power for me to click this video cause I really dislike the new m2 but I’m curious bout this Edit: yeah I wasn’t disappointed sounds great.
@@valvetronic well I don’t plan on unlocking dme for now, what do you mean by spacer? For the downpipe? And what’s « csr »? Sorry trying to get info for the right choice
is does this down pipe come with the exhaust if you purchase the full system ? or are you guys using an aftermarket DP paired with the valvetronic axle back ?
like a way to have the exhaust fully open but when letting off the gas for there to be no pop/burbles. I though there could be burble delete tune for it, I feel like it would emphasize the tone of the actual exhaust which sounds really good.@@valvetronic
From this angle the M2 looks the same size as the old M5 V10 but not as long of a wheelbase. How much bigger are the new M3/M4's to the old M5 I wonder ..
Sounds great other than the stupid pops and crackles - but I am sure most G87 owners will want this regardless because 95% of the time what you have here sounds better than stock by far. Really sounds good other than the pops. I ordered your full equal length catback for my G80 because the same pops are NOT present in your G8x exhaust system. Maybe I'm biased since I also own an E92 M3 and a 718 GT4 and recently sold my E39 M5 - I'm used to amazing naturally aspirated exhaust notes, but I seriously hate the pops/crackles. IMO saying you like pops/crackles is just a cope for the fact that cars today can't sound that great due to the nature of emissions controls and turbocharging.
@@KandiMan You're not alone - definitely lots of people like the sound. The world of cars is changing and at this point I'm just happy there are still some performance cars that do make noises and aren't electric. I don't like the pops but I still don't mind hearing them because it tells me there's someone who is an enthusiast and we need more of those these days
