Map view comes on on the dash when you driving and set the nav. Its not full view but you'll get the instructions. It will appear in the middle of tacho zone

All bmws have NIGHT VISION as an option since a few years, so yes, it has.

Are you able to change the units from imperial to metric and vice versa?

Yes you can. You have to go deeper into the idrive config menu and every param has a metric equiv

I just bought 2019 X3 and was told by BMW it doesn't have Screen Mirroring feature, How does your X3 have it? Did you test drive this in US?

if you have an iphone apparently it doesn't work. which is odd b/c you have the Apple Carplay which Android users can't use, but they can use the idrive's screen mirroring.

I'm curious how much of BMW's infotainment tech and safety features are standard vs being bundled into overpriced option packages.

The basic option will have a partial digital gauge cluster with the numbers being part of the physical bezel. I don't believe the Heads Up display is included unless you choose the full digital cluster. Infosystem display standard is 6.5" vs 10.3' Professional is you choose to upgrade, but there is no difference in clarity.

BMW has the best Infosystem. It might seem costly, but compared to the other brands the price is competitive and it's much easier to use.

Despite thinking that the Sensus system is slow at times I do think it’s much better than this, just the screen size and graphics win it for me over the iDrive. I also hate rotating knobs....

Having to do everything via the touch screen is very impractical. Rotating knob is a much easier way to interact with the system when on the move. I don't see how Sensus graphics is better than idrive? Idrive is the best in the business and now offers touch screen for those who wants to use it. Personally I never use touch screen.

coladuna we will have to agree to disagree. I’ve had a Bimmer with the rotating knob and now own a Volvo and rotating through A-Z to write an address was way more distracting than typing with my fingers on a keyboard layout.

@@fmsantoscar lol I've had the xc60 for three months and there's no way you can type an address via the touch screen unless you are stationary. There's nothing to agree or disagree on that point unless you are delusional.

@@fmsantoscar My XC90 touchscreen nav system works fine while driving. I can easily type my request onto the screen while driving.
