Me too! K75s ABS owner. I was always taught to remove the fill plug first before draining; so you can make sure you will be able to refill things. (I'm NOT criticizing.) MANY thanks for your videos sir!
That recommendation is for us DIYers. If we cannot get the fill plug removed after draining the oil, we’d have to tow the bike to the shop. If you found out the fill plug was stuck before draining the oil, you’d still be able to ride the bike to the shop. The BMW Guy is the shop, presumably, he’d be able to work out a stuck fill plug.
Thank you for making your videos, they are a real help to the BMW motorcycle community. I own a 2004 BMW R1150R. Due to obvious wear to the clutch spline and transmission input shaft, I replaced both. I replaced the clutch with an Oil resistant, with longer splines after market clutch. Can you please do a video on your experience of such after market clutches. Are they a complete solution to the transmission input spline issue? Do they introduce and new problems due to the clutch being heavier?
I'm pretty sure it's not. That filter wasn't tightened properly, I assume. If we think of a car with an outside oil filter, that is not suppose to drain, either. Not a single drop.
