Great video! Very helpful and very clear. Some videos neglect to show up close but this was perfect. May I ask where you got your service kit from please? I’d like to do a service on mine
very good upload, thank you and compliments for your skill in doing it! very tricky are fuel filter and air-filter replacement...i have to leave this to my workshop team..i'm afraid doing mistakes in a DIY job...thank you once again
I went for racing bike style. Just two Jubilee clips. You can see them in my video at 11:17. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r4eev3p6g5Q.html
Hi I am new in your channel, mainly because I just got a bmw r75, I bought this bike for cheap but need a lot of work, I am trying to do this service but I am stock with the spark plugs, I change two already but third one I can not disconnect the cable, the cable moves but it seems like is biting the sparkplug, I put some W40, but nothing, the cable is the last one that is in the right side, any advice??? Thx a lot
Hi. This comment has only just come through. There are a couple of things you can try. If the engine is running let it heat up so the rubbers and clips are softened and pull off with pliers or long nosed Mole grips. If it is not running soak the plug cap inside with switch cleaner like Servisol using a long straw as it may have rusted up. Also the BMW caps have a hole in the tag that you can put a strong wire through to help pull them out.
could you tell me which ignition coil goes to which spark plug? My bike is back firing into the air intake and I want to eliminate mismatched wires as a potential cause. I'm not finding a diagram for it in my manual.
Cool. Thanks for the video. P.S. when draining the final drive, or diff, that's a good time to remove the speedometer sensor on top of the final drive and clean it to avoid future sensor problems.
I rode this bike solidly for 13 years as my main vehicle. I have been riding it less and less as the years go by. The handling and power are excellent once you get used to it. It has been ultra reliable but needs good maintenance. Many of the uncared for bikes have rotted rubber components that need replacing and the electrics need cleaning. The fuel pump must be in good condition. Watch my video for general guidance and then look at the Facebook pages and BMW forums. Hope you find a good one. Support network is huge and there are replacements parts for everything nowadays. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r4eev3p6g5Q.html
And the front fork fluid and the brake pads and shoes checked and the tire pressures and all the electrical connections and all the rubber components checked for perishing - the list goes on and that is why the title says oil, filters, plugs.
