Hi Danny, thanks for the video. One question: the middle BMW button to lock the car. Please can you tell me the difference from pressing it once or twice in quick succession to lock the car. Thank you
Hi Danny thinking of getting the BMW 2 series gran coupe 1.5 msport next year I have an BMW X2 2.0 sport petrol at the moment just wondering what the performance is like I have yet to book a test drive hopefully it goes as well as it looks keep up your great work all the best Les.
Thank you for the kind comment Les, it is definitely quick enough for myself and the ride comfort is fantastic, I would definitely advise a test drive as I would imagine the drive position is going to be a lot lower than what you have been use to in your X2, I previously had a Tiguan and that has been the biggest adjustment for myself for sure, If there is anything else you want to see or know just let me know 🙂 enjoy the rest of your weekend and take care 👍🏻
@@HonestReviewsofEverything Hi Danny thanks for the reply I would definitely go for the msport model as you get a good spec without paying out for the expensive option packs I like the sound of the 3 cylinder engine when pressed my only concern would be the low down pick up as l would be going from a car with 180 bhp to a car with 140 bhp but I love the look of the car and smaller capacity engines seems to be the way car manufacturers are going will have to book a test drive ASAP ! All the best Les.
Thanks for the video. I've got one on order with a sunroof. Does the ventilation feature activate that to open as well? Would that be just tilted or slid open?
There is an additional feature that you didn't mention: If you press multiple times on the unlock button and open the door of your car, then the window will go down. This way you can get in your car more easily on tight places.
Good video. I guess we in US have some different features. We can start the car even if key batteries are out of charge. This is done by holding the key to the side of the steering column where indicated. I think that is a very important feature.
Hi Danny happy first birthday for your channel your reviews have made me confident in choosing a 2 series gran coupe MSport 118 to replace my 2019 X2 the dealer is calling me on Monday with hopefully my delivery date for the car it should arrive April or early May all the best Les.
As far as I am aware yes, just hold the lock button and they will fold in but I also changed my settings which is shown on one of my previous videos and now it does it automatically 🙂👍🏻
Hi Danny please could you inform if the 2 series gran coupe Msport has the inflatable seat bolsters in the sport seats I test drove a car that was fully loaded my X2 sport has the side bolsters as standard I am hoping they are fitted as a no cost option all the best Les.
If you open the boot with the fob remotely, if you hold the boot button down on the remote it will close it... I get my same car on Friday....but in white lol
I will have to look into this mate but I did not have the automatic tail gate so not sure it will work on my car 👍🏻 Friday how exciting what spec did you end up going for?
@@HonestReviewsofEverything Hi D, I didn’t know my tourer had that fob boot function, found it by mistake. I just held the button down and the boot started to close, take the finger off and the boot stopped closing, so I assumed that the 218i would have it as standard. I went for the sport model, I had the X1 m sport and found it really really firm. What I did find when test driving the Sport model that bumpy roads the plastic, or something on the doors gave a rattle. I just hope I don’t regret buying this car after having the touring version. No kids to worry about, only golf clubs😂. Great videos though I think I have watched all of your reviews on this car. Regarding the air con full blast issue, my tourer had this also. I just had to turn down the fan speed manually.
Thanks Danny .... any chance you might be able to cover the alarm system. There are time when we have our dog with us so leave windows down etc plus when we go on the ferry to set the alarm without it activating in the unlikely event of a rough crossing. Cheers - Ian
I believe if you press the lock button a second time shortly after locking the car (i.e press the lock button twice) it will lock the car but disable the alarm
This key looks a little different from mine . I have a m235i GC which has the alarm button and also can use the key to start the engine to cool or warm inside the car based on the weather.
