I have a lot of you ask me about my experience with this car and how the reliability has been for me, as well as what maintenance I’ve had to do, so hopefully this answers a lot of your questions! LETS HIT 1k SUBS!!🙌🏼
I have the F22 M240i in black (RHD and RWD) .(My second Beamer having previously owned an E46 325Ci M sport years ago).. This car is phenomenal .. like all BMW's .. as long as you're on top of scheduled and preventive maintanence, it will run just fine
Exactly! I’ve actually owned a E46 as well and it was a 330ci and I loved it, and it also treated me well during the time I owned it. Part of the reason I wanted a 2 series was because it was based off the 1 series and E46
Great video bro. One thing I like about your car is there isn't any crazy unnecessary extra pops coming from the exhaust like a lot of tuned bimmers that I see here in Michigan.
Thanks man! Yeah it seems like a lot of people abuse the pops😂 I’ve had my fun with them but I always had it on the lowest settings, but I prefer all the turbo noises you get when they’re turned off
I have a bmw 330ci e46 right now and I was thinking of getting this black exterior/red interior m240i and this video made me want one more and for sure getting it soon!
That’s awesome man, happy to hear it! I have no doubt you’ll love it, especially considering you have an E46 right now which is what the F22 is inspired by. Good luck and enjoy it💪🏼
Great video man, I just hit 30k in mine, had the car since it had 5k and I think I’m gonna keep this car forever since it’s my first car and turn it into a god dam rocket ship
trying to decide between this or a rs3 of similar year, and i think this is the move. the coupe looks wayyy better imo, interior can come in different colors, and this is easily $10k+ cheaper. appreciate the chill vibe and clarity!
Both solid choices for sure! You really can’t go wrong either way, but like you said, M240 can easily be $10k less and you get nearly the exact same performance. Glad I could help!
Thanks for providing all the details of your build! Those wheels look awesome BTW! I have a 2018 M240I X-drive (about to hit 30K) with a CTS Turbo catted downpipe, MHD stage 2 tune, and Xhp stage 2 transmission tune, and like you, I still love my car after 4+ years of ownership. I just bought a new set of wheels for summer use with almost identical offsets (+40 vs your +38) and a set of Continental extreme contact sport 02's; 225/40/18 front & 245/35/18 rear. The wheels I chose (Fast Wheels FC 04, Titanium, 18 x 8 front, 18 X 9 rear) aren't quite as light and probably not as well made as the SSR's, but they weigh less than 20 lbs. which, as I'm sure you know, make a noticeable improvement in handling compared to the factory wheels (mine weigh about 24 Lbs. front & 25 Lbs. rear.). And since I've had a great experience for 4 Canadian winters with my winter set of FC 04's (in a square, 18 X 8 setup with 225/40/18 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4's), I thought I'd continue being a cheapskate and buy them again because there aren't any other wheels as light that I could find in the same price range. ;)
That’s awesome man! Glad you’re enjoying it. And hey cheap doesn’t always mean worse. If your wheel setup is treating you good then I don’t blame you, especially if they’re lighter than OEM
Very good video bro, I actually got the M240i xdrive for a good deal and 17k miles two years ago. I love this car and the end goal is an M5 Comp but this M240i is a GREAT choice and the B58 is HARD to beat with everything. The only complaint is I think that the interior is dated and could of been better.
For the wheels you should definitely be able to run 265s. I’m on a 18x8 setup on my 240 running some 265/35/18 federals, on my hybrid turbo setup it’s rips and doesn’t spin at all!
My 2017 is at 106k miles still running strong on a custom e30 tune, I seen a comment about the H&R springs, I have the red ones which are the more aggressive ones and the ride is definitely more rough but I dont have any issues with my struts or shocks at my mileage
That’s sick bro!! Yeah I heard it’s not super common with issues on the H&R’s but can happen, and alright bet that’s good to know I’ll definitely have to get some wider tires! What hybrid turbo you on and how do you like it?
I changed the pads on mine and it made a big difference to pedal feel and bite. Also, you should (mine's an LCI) be able to see oil temp on the MFD on the dash.
Hey do emd springs, they are statistically the best springs on the market for bmw’s strut geometry which helps with handling and reliability. H&R springs cause premature wear and the spring rates aren’t close to the original springs like emd made them👍
The roads where you live must be emaculate. I put 225/45 AS tires on my xdrive m240 to fill in the wheel gap and the ride is nice. It's so much fun going off road. My plan is to make mine a rally car 😂
No worries man! The tune definitely helps create that sound because it’s pushing more boost than stock but the biggest factor would be the catless downpipe paired with my awe exhaust because it’s giving it so much more airflow
Hey, fantastic car mate. Is it xdrive or rwd? What would you think is more fun and better if you plan to put some additional power on? Thanks in advance!
looking at a very low mileage M240i x drive (daily in the northeast) to replace a mk8 GTI. You're wheels look fantastic! How is the stock sound system in this?
Honestly M240 doesn’t have a ton of different packages so the biggest thing I would make sure to have is Apple CarPlay which is sooo nice to have if you have an iPhone. The rest is honestly personal opinion like carbon fiber trim which I think looks good
@@Broke-MediaIt’s thru the hidden menu that you have to cycle to from the button on the bottom left of the instrument cluster. Idk the steps off the top my head but there are a couple videos on getting to it.
Been looking for an LCI m240i. Always been confused about one aspect which is the fact that certain models have a more simple front bumper from the factory, and others come with the type of front bumper that you have. Which is more aggressive. I know you've added a front lip spoiler... Do some of them just come from the factory with maybe an m sport front bumper, and some don't? Is that the difference? Because I personally love the more aggressive front bumper model.
Tbh I’m not sure what you’re referring to, from what I’ve seen all F22 M240i’s have the same front bumper. The only thing different on the lci exterior wise is the headlights. Maybe it’s because I have black kidney grills which makes it look different?
I have the exact same set up except I’m running the Mppsk M exhaust from Bmw MHD 2+ XHP 3 and this thing is a blast to drive ! I love my 2016 340 x drive
@@Broke-Media fair enough I like the idea of front tints , first copper in the uk who sees those will have you pulled over and have you peeling them off there and then 😭
HOLYY F*ck ur m240i is fassssst boy. I just ordered a 2024 m240i in Sapphire Black.. can I plz ask your wheel fitment I need to get rid of the stocks soon as I get the car next week.
Dude that’s sick!! You’re gonna love it so much. My wheels were 19x8.5 et 38 but I’m sure the G series has different fitment but I recommend checking out willtheyfit.com to figure out what’s going to work
@@IplayTheGuitar4Fun I was in the same boat but with a GTI. Loved my GTI and didn’t want to let it go, but once I got the M240 I loved it so much I never looked back💯
@@Sadmac no you can’t see inside during the day, but it can be pretty hard to see at night if there is no light around otherwise it’s not bad, but personally I’m probably gonna go with 15-20% next time just to make it a little better at night
@@Broke-Media just went on a test drive with a 2019 M240i today. What should I say... 😂 my bank account is gonna hate me but that car was just too sick. Felt like a jet and I didn't even hit hard on the throttle lmao
