Let me make a good example of a comparison of the same brand, otherwise comparisons work well with the same specifications including price of a different brand. A good comparison of the same brand would be comparing the 318 and the 330i which are both B48 engines, the B58 is where the S58 conceptualized which is another league of things, the 318i and 330i are both good comparisons, you can start from there, otherwise you would have made even better a good comparison of a C180 and the 318i…the 340i is a different platform from the 318i, its price tag is justified for what it is whilst on the other hand, the 318i has nothing to do even any close with the 340i…
