Decided to get this car but not XDrive. Will be getting it in March 2021. It was a no-brainer!!! Going from an A4 to this. I test drove it and damn! Luxury spot on, performance spot on, overall spot on!! Cannot wait.

+1 for the included maintenance. It was between this and a lease on the MB C43 for me too. The cost of ownership was about $7600 less over 3 years for the M340i!

Had a pretty big questions that i've been wanting to get feedback on for a while. I'm going into real estate next few months and was debating on the m340i or waiting till the new 2021 M3 comes out, what choice would you make? Would the m3 be too much for all the daily miles and gas adding up?

I would love to have the new M3. If it was available now I would get it. Good point on M340 would be a lot more fuel efficient but M3 will probably have better resale. Tough choice.

BMW no longer covers brakes and rotors as part as the "free maintenance" so essentially all you get is oil changes for free

I never would of thought it covered wear and tear items like brakes anyway! I just bought a new BMW and I assumed it covered just regular maintenance stuff such as oil changes, air filter, and the big 30,000 mile service or whatever miles BMW calls for it!

$600 per month for a $68,000 vehicle? I need to go to your BMW dealership! I'm paying $695 per month and my 2021 M340 xdrive with a sticker price of $64K. My out of pocket was about $1,000 less though. You got a great deal!

I bought in the middle of the lock down so there were huge factory incentives but you had to buy off the lot since the factory was shut down. Congrats on your car !

it can be as fast as the Audi.. just get a jb4 TUNE & that should but you around 500 crank HP

Great review! Having owned a few Audis, how do you compare this to something like the same year S4 for a fun daily driver?

Great question. BMW handles much better, less understeer, more nimble than the Audi. In my experience, the Audi is better in bad weather even though both are AWD I give the snow, ice and rain better in the Audi.

I drove the M2 competition and this car. Guess what car I purchased? The M340i xdrive. Why, because there is not a huge delta in performance and in terms of practical use it’s much better. Not sure why anyone would daily a M car. M cars are for the track and you really can’t use all the power of an M car on public roads.

Got ripped off on lease. You should've not put penny down other than bank fee, 1st month, dmv. Shouldve done multiple security deposit. Cap reduction cost its not done on lease due to issues if car gets totaled or stolen you lost that cap. Msd you get back regardless. It buys down the interest on lease and gets refunded at end of lease.

He didn't get ripped off on the lease. Out of the $5K he put out of pocket, between $3,500-$4,000 of it was the tax, 1st month's payment, acquisition and motor vehicle fees. Show me another car even close to the sticker price of his that's $600 per month. I believe his monthly lease payment is closer to $700 per month than $600.

@@Another_User_Name_ had the f30 340 m sport xdrive fully loaded for 499 monthly with just 1st month, reg, msd upfront. So yes this is terrible deal. Go look on leasehacker and teach yourself. Ripped off

F30 leased much cheaper, my car has a MSRP of $66k. Most people are leasing M340i for $800 a month with 5k out of pocket and I have 12,000 miles a year, most leases at 10,000. Remember you have to add sales tax to the payment. My $595 a month includes sale tax.

If you don’t mind me asking....what are your lease payments? Down payment? Is it a 3 year lease? I’m leasing a V60 Volvo now as my wife’s daily for $540/mo., on a 3 year lease.

Our winter was pretty mild but it performed well with the AWD and all season tires. If you live in a very snowy climate get winter tires an you will be fine

for east coast thats a good lease price. You have loyalty credits i assume? because I have not seen an m340i touch 595 monthly. I've shopped everywhere in NY/NJ

You should go to lease hackr web site. It’s not hard to get a sub 60k M340 for under 600 a month with only minimal drive offs if you get 10% off with buy rate money factor you are there. I got 11.5% off mine in May and I am in south Florida a very though market to get a deal in.DO NOT PUT 5K DOWN ON A LEASE. if you wreck the car in a month that money is gone. With 5K down you aren’t paying 600 a month you are paying $738. This is really not a good deal at all. Got to lease hckr educate yourself and get a deal.

I got it during Covid so the deals were aggressive. 12k miles a year for 36 months $595 a month including tax $5k out of pocket, MSRP $66k

I just put an order for a 2021. You’re patient pal, I floored my current leased 2018 340i out of the parking lot on Day 1; no way could I have waited until 1k miles. Its a lease, fcuk it.

Enjoyed your review. I own a E-90 335 and love it. Just dropped off a 2020 330Xi rental and I hated it. Steering was vague and every time it got close to lines on either side of the road ( which it seemed to do frequently) the wheel would almost jerk out of my hands. Never ever will I buy that model of BMW.

I agree the steering has no feel. You can shut off the lane keeping assist that is pulling the wheel out of your hands

Yes new 330i sucks imo as well. The steering and suspension were too numble and found my ex 328if30 better. Otoh m340i didnt have anything to do especially bc steering rack os the same as f30, more firmer and much more direct!

Ha ha, no. I am saying its a great daily not a car you take up your favorite road on a Sunday morning. A M3 would be better for that. Great daily, not a weekend sports car

@@GlennsCarCollection ahh, ok. But still, I think 380 hp is a lot. Here in Europe, you can race a lot of cars with it. You could add "M Technology package" which is additional cooling system underneath the car and you could even race on a Nurburgring with that.

The thing I hated most about my 335i is the suspension tuning and tire combination. I leased it and ended up swapping after 4 months

its a regular car it depreciates fast. It depends on the lease. This was a heavily discounted lease due to last year due the lock downs
